There are many examples in the bible of God influencing the minds of people to fulfill his will. Notice this example: "Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord STIRRED up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia..." You may read the rest of the passage, if you so wish.

In addition, it should be evident to you and anyone else who understands the human condition, which is influenced by bigotry and prejudice, that the American people would NEVER willingly elect a black man as president, however torrential his eloquence might be.

The election of Obama is an epoch making event! The events surrounding it were guided by God, and what his presidency portends is yet to be made clear, but the omens are not good!

BTW, don't forget that if news of Dennis' and Douglas' demise should reach you before it reaches me, I am at Mizpah seeing about my father's business. Perhaps, I should also add Gavin to this list, as he doesn't know what is meant by impartiality!

Thanks for pointing out the typo, which is being corrected as I typeTom Mahonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02087223683733643082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5443707510312092336.post-34566659158850224742008-11-15T13:40:00.000+00:002008-11-15T13:40:00.000+00:00Tom,You write, “Fourthly, the people of the US vot...Tom,

You write, “Fourthly, the people of the US voted, but God decided who would win the election, as all power is of God, and the powers that be are ordained of God. So is Billingsley saying that he disagree with God's decision?”

Question - How does God get the people who vote to vote for the candidate that God wants to be elected for US President?

Also, you have a typo in the paragraph that reads, “which was fulfilled durning the leadership of Samuel”. I think you mean “during”.

RichardAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
