Against Hirelings

Much has been written about a supposed Mayan prophecy announcing the end of the world on 21 December 2012. The irrational sceptics posting ridicule and abuse on the various blogs, have dismissed the prophecy as “rubbish.” Many others believe that no one can foretell the future, so all prophecy, whether biblical or Mayan, must be rejected as the ranting either of Jewish “goat herders” or the insanity of “blood thirsty Mayans priests." But should the final date of the Mayan Calendar be dismissed as nonsense because some people are unable to separate fact from fiction? I don’t think so.

It has been reported and verified by the Spanish conquistadors, that the Mayans prophesied hundreds of years in advance, that their empire or civilisation would be overthrown on a specific date, which was fulfilled on that very date in 1533. This prophecy can’t be dismissed as the insane ranting of a “blood thirst Mayan priest,” or be compared with the vague and opaque prophecies of Nostradamus, which are interpreted after events have occurred.

Does the above mean that I believe that the world will end on 21 December 2012? No, I don’t. For Jesus said: "For of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels in heaven, but my Father only" (Matt. 24:36). And there is no clear evidence that any Mayan has prophesied it will, either. But since the Mayan calendar doesn’t go beyond 21 December 2012, one has to ask oneself, why does it end on that date? And since they have prophesied at least one major event that has been fulfilled, I believe it would be very unwise not to expect some significant events to occur on that date or leading up to that date.

Furthermore, when Herbert W. Armstrong started preaching the gospel in South America, it was discovered that many of the people living there were already familiar with the Holy Days, the Sabbath and some other doctrines of the bible. This would indicate that at some time in the past, men of God were preaching and teaching the bible among these people. And these men were able to prophesy the destruction of the Mayan pagan society, which occurred in 1533. And these same Christians were responsible for passing on the knowledge of God’s calendar to the Mayans, which has been corrupted by dishonest men. Just as the wholesome teachings of Mr Armstrong have been corrupted by misguided men, who have developed their own brand of religion for the sake of money.

So, will 2012 usher in a period of unprecedented misery? If the perilous times in which we live is a guide to the future, the answer has to be yes!

The Mystery of Election

I promised to explain the mystery that led the Chosen Vessel to exclaim, “O the depths of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgements, and his ways are past finding out”(Romans 11:33). But I have been very busy going two miles with those who compel me to go one.(Matt.5:41). But now that I have a few minutes to myself, I will outline the fulfilment of my promise.

The Chosen Vessel began by asking: “what advantage then has the Jew?”(Romans 3:1). That is, what advantage do the Jews have over the Gentiles? And he began his answer by saying, “Much every way: Chiefly, because unto them were committed the oracles of God.”(Romans 3:2).

In contrast to the Jews knowledge of God, there were five things that were true of the Gentiles:

1) they were without Christ

2) Aliens from the commonwealth of Israel

3) Strangers from the covenants of promise

4) Having no hope

5) And without God in world (Eph.2:12).

Their condition was completely wretched!

However, after the elucidation of a few mysteries, the Chosen Vessel was inspired to write: “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek;(Romans 10 :12) This conclusion is consistent with what Peter reported after the conversion of Cornelius thus: “For as much as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us...(Acts 11:17). And in Acts 15:7-9), Peter was also inspired to write: “And God, who knows the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as he did unto us.” And please note what follows: “And put no DIFFERENCE between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith”(Acts 15:8-9).

Now, with this revelation of unity and peace between Jews and Gentiles, the burning question is, why did The Worldwide Church of God put a difference between black and white brethren, especially during social events at the various Feasts of Tabernacles? I will answer this question, and the answer will reveal something that was and is very shocking!

However, if God has put no difference between Jews and Gentiles, why does the Chosen Vessel says that the Jews have some advantages? Is Paul and Peter contradicting themselves, or is this a paradox that leads to a deeper mystery?

The Mysteries of God

It should be clear to anyone who is led by the spirit of truth that most of The Worldwide Church of God ministers were actually hirelings. The hireling may hide himself among faithful ministers, of whom there were very few, and “by good words and fair speeches deceive the heart of the simple”(Romans 16:18). But when the wolf pack comes over the hill, the true character of the hireling is exposed, because he will run away and abandoned the flock(John 10:12-13). This is exactly what all the former WCG’s “ministers” did who are now mismanaging GCI, UCG, PCG, LCG, RCG, COG/Hulme and all the other so-called independent churches of god.

But in obedience to Christ, none of God’s faithful children have followed these evil men. For Jesus affirmed, “a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him, for they know not the voice of strangers(John 10:4-5). So I have fled from the these evil men! And I have often stated, “If they are the shepherds, then I am not the sheep, for I don’t recognised their voice,”

However, for the benefit of the hand full of God’s faithful people who read this blog, for the next few weeks, I want to focus on why The Chosen Vessel was moved to exclaim, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out”(Romans 11:33). What sublime mystery did the chosen vessel elucidated that led him to this exclamation of joy and wonder? Of course he was a faithful “steward of the mysteries of God”(1 Cor. 4:1).

In contrast, the unfaithful hirelings, leading the above mentioned churches, are completely ignorant of the mysteries of God, which is a clear indication that they are not God’s ministers!

A HIRELING WAS SNARED BY THE TRUTH

Once again I had a fruitless but extended conversation with a minister in The Worldwide Church of God, UK. I wanted know how he could justify attending with WCG when he disagrees with the doctrinal changes introduced by Joseph Tkach and his son? So I began the conversation by stating that all faithful ministers and brethren had a God given responsibility to speak out against all forms of heresy, and to “earnestly contend for the faith”(Jude 3). I then asked the minister if he spoke out against the false teaching, and warned the brethren that they were being feed spiritual poison.

His response to my questions and quotation from Jude was completely irrational. He stated that “to speak out against Tkach’s teaching amounts to rebellion against God’s servant.” What nonsense? One can only rebel against the truth, not against heresy! However, he unwittingly agreed with me that the reason ministers did not speak out was because they feared being sacked, without the hope of future employment. After he conceded this fact, I stated that any minister who put any financial consideration before the spiritual welfare of God’s people was a hireling. But when he realised that I was branding him a hireling, he tried to change the subject.

It was then time for me to take my leave, realising that the discussion was fruitless.

The Hirelings Are Licking Their Fingers.

As we run up to the autumn festivals of Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles, the leaders of the heretic churches which have been formed since the break up of The Worldwide Church of God, will be licking their fingers as they prepare to count the extra tithes and offerings that will be coming into their depleted coffers. These evil, false ministers aptly fulfilled the prophecy of the Apostle Peter, when he says: “And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you”(2 Pet.2:1-3). The Apostle Paul also warned God’s faithful ministers, and prophesied that these evil men would emerged from among God’s faithful people thus: “Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciple after them”(Acts 20:28-30).

The ringleader in “speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples” was Garner Ted and Tkach senior, followed by all the other charlatans that are now fleecing the deluded members of UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG, COG/Hulme and all the so-called independent churches of god.

These deceived leaders believe that Christ is divided, and God is author of confusion! So every time they disagree among themselves over whose opinion should be preeminent, those whose opinions are rejected as rubbish tend to go off and start their own church. But those that stay behind still regard the departed members as brethren! Isn’t that astonishing, and baffles comprehension!?

However, as astonishing as it is, I have learned that the irrational malevolence of the devil knows no limits! But in the end, the abominable hirelings and the devil will be cast into the lake of fire thus(Rev. 21:8).

The Victory Is Not Mine.

I have been very busy wrestling with the devil and his demons! They have launched a series of multifarious attacks against me, using various people and stratagems. For as the Chosen Vessel was inspired to write: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places(Eph. 6:12). So my real enemies are not people, who are flesh and blood. But Satan uses people to foolishly attack God’s children.

Of course, I don’t fight my own battles. If I did, I would be defeated by Satan’s assaults. But instead of defeat, I am assured of victory thus: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”( 1 John 4:4). Jesus, who lives his life of victory over the devil and his demons (Colossians. 2:15) in God’s children, has clothes them in the armour of God, so that they can withstand all “the wiles of the devil”(Eph. 6:11).

But when the victory is achieved, we must not commend ourselves, for Jesus says: “For without me you can do nothing”(John 15:5). Internalising the precept, “for without me you can do nothing,” is the basis of humility. For Christians have no merit of their own! Their successes, as one might call them, are granted to them by the grace of God, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

However, I well aware that many former members of The worldwide Church of God are experiencing a host of problems! But these problems are not the result of living a life of obedience to the wholesome teaches of the bible. In other words, they are not being persecuted for righteousness! On the contrary, they are suffering because they are like dogs that have returned to their own vomit(2 Peter 2:22).

A COMMUNITY OF SAINTS

Most religious people are of the misguided opinion that the church of God is a refuge for sinners. They believe this opinion is valid, because Catholics and Protestants don’t excommunicate homosexuals, drunkards, adulterers, extortionists or heretics from their fellowship. This same perverse opinion and indulgence is now shared and practised by every group that has been formed since the break up of the Worldwide Church of God in 1995.

In GCI, UCG, LCG, RCG, PCG, COG/Hulme and all the other divided groups now operation in cog-land, there are heretics, extortionists, drunkards, adulterers and liars! And since the leaders of these groups are all rogues, no one among them can take the moral high ground to condemn another’s behaviour, for by so doing he will be condemning himself.

However, in contrast to the wickedness in cog-land, the Chosen Vessel, in all his epistles to God’s elect, was always inspired to address the church members as saints thus: (Rom.1:7); (Eph. 1:1). A saint is a person who has been sanctified by the Holy Spirit, unto obedience of the truth(1 Pet. 1:1-2), and whose life is devoted to the service of God.

The Congregation of The Dead

Thousands of former WCG members are like dogs that have returned to their own vomit(2 Pet. 2:22). For example, Dennis Diehl, a former minister in WCG now believes that the bible is fiction, and the Apostle Paul never met Jesus, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary(1 Cor. 15:8).

Also, there is Douglas Becker who, as far as I know, has never held any office in WCG, but is now a complete, enthusiastic deranged scoffer of doctrine and prophecy. He has the rare ability to reduce the most complex issues to the simple term of “incompetence”. I believe he attended one of those silly management courses, where a wide-eyed presenter stated, without evidence or argument, that all problems are caused by "incompetence." And of course, as Douglas is simple, he believes every word!

Then, there is Gavin Rumney, the arrogated scholar, who now holds a BA(HONS) from the prestigious university of Otago. Of the 6.5 billion people in the world, it is believed that about 6.4 billion have enrolled in a distance learning course with Otago, so Rumney is in great company(Proverbs 21:16).

Finally, there are all the hirelings who left WCG to either start their own church or to join a church started by a gang of devious extortioners.

The Middle East In Prophecy

A few months after the six day war in October 1973 between the Arabs and Israel, Mr Herbert W. Armstrong wrote the following: “The nations of the world will literally be dumbfounded when they see what will really happen in the explosive Middle East.” Mr Armstrong then went on to outlined a series of prophecies that show the current Middle East uprising will lead to unprecedented violence and destruction, ending in the prophesied battle of “Armageddon.”
Later in his seminal article he wrote: “Prophecy reveals that there will continue to be further strife and bloodshed in the Middle East. Neither the United Nations nor any other power or nation will be able to find a workable solution to today’s vexing Middle East impasse. There will be more talks, more truces – and more bloodletting. The bible shows that no human government will ever be able to bring lasting peace to this volatile part of the world.”
Now I well aware that those who have repudiated all that they once believed, and are now enthusiastic scoffers, will continue to poke fun at prophecy. So any discussion with these people is like flogging a dead horse!
On the other hand, we have a busy cabal of covetous, greedy hirelings, operating out of WCG, UCG, RCG, PCG, LCG, COG/Hulme and many others, who blasphemed by calling themselves ministers of Christ, still mouthing these prophecies. They foolishly think that God is using them to preach that Christ is divided! So when their disunity is exposed, some go off and start their own church, while others are willing to work for anyone who will pay them a salary. But then that is the nature of hirelings, they are motivated by money! These, of course, will be hurled into the lake of fire, where their worm dies not!
But Mr Armstrong and God's elect will inherit eternal life!

The Subtlety of Heresy

For 36 years I have been singing the hymn, Not many wise men now are called, but it was only while singing it at services this afternoon, that I realised the word “now,” inserted in the tittle, perpetuates a subtle heresy. You see, for years the leadership of The Worldwide Church of God believed and taught that God will call everyone, it was only a matter of timing. So though he is not now calling many wise men, he will no doubt do so in the future. It is therefore logical to believe that it was this heretical opinion, which led Dwight Armstrong, if he were responsible for adapting the words of the hymn, to insert the word “now” in the title.

However, the word “now” does not appear in the biblical text. Paul’s inspired words are (1 Cor. 1:26-27). And they do not imply that many wise men will be called at a later date. The text explicitly states, without qualification or equivocation, that God is mainly calling the foolish people of the world, to confound the people of the world who think they are wise. An example of God confounding the so-called wise of the world, is demonstrated by Peter on the day of Pentecost thus: (Acts 2:4-6). Please note the phrase: “the multitude came together, and were confounded.”

This heretical teaching may appear insignificant to some people, but it is a classic case of “a little leaven leavening the whole lump”(1 Cor. 5:6). For all of the divided splinter groups, that came out of WCG, still believe in the false doctrine that “everyone will have a chance for salvation.” This false opinion is a clear denial of the sound doctrine of predestination. But I don’t have the time or inclination to expose that fallacy at this point in time!

The Passover or a Travesty?

As we are two weeks away from Passover, the hirelings who were called ministers in The Worldwide Church of God, and who are now fighting over the tithes and offerings of some very deluded people, will be preparing to eat bread and drink wine, believing that they are taking the Passover. Well, Judas ate bread and drank wine with Jesus and his faithful disciples, but will anyone be so mad as to believe that Judas took the Passover, when Jesus says: “Give not that which is holy unto dogs”(Matt.7:6)?

Similarly, can anyone in his right mind believe that the men who now tacitly accept that Christ is divided and God is author of confusion will be used by God to officiate at the Passover? The so-called leaders of UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG, COG/Hulme and the latest concoction of WCG, believed to be the brain child of Jim Franks, have all betrayed God’s people for a financial package, just as Judas betrayed Christ for a paltry 30 pieces of silver.

And even though Judas regretted his treachery, it was too late for repentance! But the evil men now operating in cog-land, making merchandise of some of God’s flock, have never shown the slightest signs of regret for their failure to speak out against the poison that Tkach was feeding the church. However, their fate will be the same as Judas. For Jesus spoke of Judas thus: Mark 14:21, the same may be said of these evil hirelings!

Earthquakes and A scoffer’s Reaction. (SEE UPDATE)

The below quote is the opening salvo from a former member of The Worldwide Church of God, who has repudiated all that he once believed, and is now an enthusiastic but ill informed scoffer: ”Dimwitted morons who are keen to find cause for disasters are two a penny, but apocalyptic control freaks have to be at the very bottom of the barrel.” This insane attack is against Ron Fraser, a “minister” and writer in the Philadelphia Church of God.

The enthusiastic scoffer in none other than Gavin Rumney, of the infamous Ambassador Watch Blog. Since graduating with a distance learning BA in theology from Otago university, Rumney has arrogated to himself the status of a scholar, and delights in quoting from a farrago of texts, penned by men with bloated egos, who think they understand the bible.

However, even after Rumney’s rant of hot air against Ron Fraser, he was unable or unwilling to say what was the cause of the Christchurch earthquake. Perhaps Rumney believes in the idiotic theory of plate tectonics, and thinks that nature operates by caprice. So the quake in Christchurch was just an unfortunate event, which could occur any where at any time. Well, nothing should be done to wake up Rumney nor rescue him if the next capricious quake is centred under his home!

But for the few people who still believe that God controls nature, and decides where earthquakes and other so-called natural disaster will strike, the words of Jesus might be helpful. When Jesus was told that Pilate had mingled the blood of Galileans with his sacrifices, and that the temple of Siloam fell on 18 people, note his reply: “Suppose you that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no: but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:1-5).

So today it is Christchurch, but tomorrow it will be you, Rumney and the deranged Douglas Becker might be shocked to learn!

UPDATE

My audience include people from Japan. If God led them to this site they may have been unaffected by the recent quake, as his intention is to have mercy on them by eventually leading them to repentance.

However, much larger and more destructive earthquakes are on the horizon, for God has promised to shake both the heavens and the earth!

When was Satan thrown out of heaven?

The above question was posed by an earnest soul looking for the truth, as he or she had read that the Jehovah Witnesses believe and teach that Satan was cast out in 1914. Eric Snow, from UCG, wrote a rambling reply denying the year 1914, but was unable to say when Satan was cast out.

In replying to the earnest soul, Eric cited a number of scriptural texts, which he twisted, to regurgitate the WCG teaching that Satan was cast out of heaven before Adam and Eve were created. This belief is pure heresy, which Satan has planted in the minds of those who were and are afflicted with the Laodicean condition of blindness.

It would be tedious to write a long explanation of how and when Satan was cast out, as most of my faithful readers are either still on the milk of the word or have fallen from grace, and are therefore unable to understand the meat of the word. But one text will suffice to show that Satan was not cast out before Adam and Eve were created. When Jesus was talking about his death and resurrection, please note what he was inspired to say: "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out(John 12:31). If Satan had been cast out before the creation of Adam and Eve, why was Jesus saying that he would be cast out after his death and resurrection?

The Character Of Christ’ Ministers

Sadly, no one, not even Mr Armstrong, truly understood the integration, character, or role of the New Testament ministry, which is the ministry of Melchisedec.

This lack of understanding led to men being retained in the ministry, who should have been excommunicated for grave sins, such as adultery, drunkenness and covetousness, which is idolatry. For example, in the early 1970s Garner Ted committed adultery, and after a period of about six months pretending that he had repented, he was reinstated as an evangelist to preach to the world. If Mr Armstrong truly understood the integration, character and role of the ministry, Garner Ted would never have been allowed to continue in the ministry! For God has promised that none of his faith ministers would ever be guilty of adultery! But Garner Ted was not the only “minister” or hireling to fall from grace. He was one of the most high profile to fall into the depths of depravity. However, many were guilty of drunkenness, asbuse of power and, of course, greed.

However, the integration of men into the New Testament ministry of Melchisedec is announced thus: “According as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak”(2 Cor.4:13). Now if the hirelings in UCG, LCG, RCG, PCG, COG/Hulme and all the other divided COGs are true ministers of Christ, as they want sensible people to believe, they would be able explain the meaning of Paul’s inspired quotation from Psalm 116:10 to the respective members of their congregations. But they can’t, even though their life depends on it!

Anyway, God's faithful ministers are integrated into the head of the body, that is why they are commanded to feed the flock with sermons inspired by Christ(2 Cor.3:5). Just as Christ fed his disciples with messages inspired by his father(John 14:10).

Also, the ministers of the NT church are chosen by Christ in accordance with will of God thus: "Who," that is, Christ, "also has made us able ministers of the New Testament, not of the letter, but of the spirit...(2 Cor.3:6). An able minister is a person who has the character and ability to educate and care for God's people. That is why the Apostle Paul saw it as his job, "to make all men see what is fellowship of mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory"(Eph.3:9 and Col.1:25-27).

Can any sensible person really believe that the hirelings operating in cog-land, burdened by duplicity, coventousness, greed and insatiable desire for power, understand the fellowship of the mystery? Not in a million years!

The Fate of Hirelings!

A number of so-called ministers, who are actually hirelings, have recently resigned from UCG after another internal war over whose opinions should take priority in mismanaging the disorder of the church.

Those who have resigned may be of the misguided opinion that they are occupying the moral high ground, but nothing could be further from the truth! For the hirelings who are currently employed by UCG and those who have resigned, failed to speak out against Tkach’s doctrinal changes, and by that failure they betrayed the true Christian members of WCG, over whom they had a God given responsibility to protect from being fed spiritual poison(Acts 20:28).

They betrayal is no different from that of Judas, who spent three and a half years in the company of Jesus and his faithful disciples, while plotting to betray him for 30 pieces of silver. These hirelings may have got more than 30 pieces of silver, but their fate will be the same as Judas, which will be worse than that of the “rich man! For Jesus said, it would have been better if Judas had never been born, and the same must be said of the hirelings in UCG, RCG, LCG, PCG, COG/Hulme and all the other divided COG’s, who are preying on vulnerable, misguided souls.

However, in contrast to the treachery of the hirelings that betrayed God’s flock, Christ faithful ministers that fed his flock and not themselves, will eventually be able to echo the words of the Chosen Vessel when he says, (2 Tim.4:7-8), while the hirelings will be hurled into the lake of fire to be tormented for ever!

The Hireling Runs Away!

I posted the below message in May 2008, and in view of the continual fighting among the hirelings in PCG, LCG, RCG, WCG, GCI, COG/Hulme and especially UCG, I believe that my growing worldwide audience would welcome reading what I wrote at that time.

Well, I didn't invent the term hireling, it was Jesus. Note what he says: "But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep"(John 10:12). Where are the sheep today, if not scattered, and have become prey for discredited men who have started their own churches? And why have the sheep been scattered? The answer should be obvious to anyone who has not been struck by supernatural blindness. It is because those who were once called ministers were actually hirelings. Again, note what Jesus, not Tom Mahon, says: "the hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep"(John 10:13). By definition, the hireling works for money. So when things get difficult in one job, the hireling runs away and finds a new employer. On the other hand, the shepherd sees his calling as a vocation, and is willing to work for nothing on earth because the glory of the Lord is his reward.
Now let us contrast the behaviour of a hireling with that of a shepherd thus: "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep"(John 10:11). The hireling runs away, but the shepherd is willing to die for the sheep. That is what Jesus teaches, and I agree with him. And note what John was also inspired to write: "Hereby we perceive the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we OUGHT to lay down our lives for the brethren"(1 John 3:16). The term ought denotes the duty that love demands from those who claim to possess the nature and character of Christ, who is the good shepherd.
In addition, Paul's admonition to the ministry was this: "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit have made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood"(Acts 20:28). But instead of WCG ministry feeding the church, they fed themselves and took a financial package from Mr. Tkach to betray the flock. How despicable can people be? But I shudder to think of the consequences of their treachery!

Mysterious Followers

Three mysterious people have become followers of my blog. I believe only Matty has once commented on one of my post. The other two, whose names may aliases, as far as I am aware, have never commented on anything I have written.

Why I described these people as mysterious, is because my blog is meaningless to people who are not true Christians! And though former members The Worldwide Church of God, and its hundreds of splinter groups may read what I write and be outraged, it is also meaningless to them.

So why have these three people become followers of my blog? It could be that God is beginning to open the eyes of their understanding, or they are of the misguided opinion that I have some kind of hidden agenda and must be watched. What ever is the answer, God will continue to watch over me, as I speak his words without compromise!

A Prophecy For Today.

for years in The Worldwide Church of God, WCG, the events outlined in Isaiah 2:1-4 and its related texts were interpreted to occur in a Millennium on earth, after the return of Jesus Christ. Over the years, I have heard “ministers,” that have turned out to be hirelings, giving sermons at The Feast of Tabernacles trying to paint a picture of a Millennium setting using the above references.

But these texts have nothing to do with a Millennium setting, because the bible does not teach that there will ever be a Millennium after the return of Christ, where Christ will reign over physical humans on earth. This heretical opinion was the result of a total misunderstanding of what the bible actually teaches about the thousand year period, and the meaning of the above and its related texts.

Isaiah prophecy relates to the beginning of the NT church. The prophecy runs, “And it shall come to pass In the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it”(Isaiah 2:2).

“The Lord’s house” is described as a mountain because it towers over the false opinions and religions of this world, which are described as “hills.” It tower over them in wisdom, prudence and in understanding the mystery of God’s will(Eph. 1:8-9).

Also, the many people that shall say, “come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,” refers to those people who respond to the preaching of the gospel, and are called into the fellowship of Christ(1 Cor. 1:9). And after genuine repentance and baptism, the Holy Spirit will inspire them to say, “He will teach us of his ways, and we shall walk in his paths.” Then the Apostles and faithful ministers of Christ can begin to educate God’s children. For they are commanded by Jesus to, “feed my lambs”(John 21:15). They are called “lambs” because they are babes in Christ.

The prophecy goes on to say, “for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” The fulfilment of this section of the prophecy should be evident to anyone who has not been struck by supernatural blindness. Zion obviously refer to the church, which is the heavenly Jerusalem, and Jesus told his disciples not to depart from Jerusalem until they had received the gift of the Holy Spirit.

After the giving of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, the word of the Lord went forth from Jerusalem, and over the past 2000 years has spread all around the world: even by men who have used the wholesome teachings of the bible to make money. But they will suffer the fate of the rich man.

So if there are any true Christians out there reading this, may God help you to understand what the bible actually teach, and may he also deliver you from the hirelings operating in UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG, COG/Hulme and all the other divided COGs, which are presided over by greedy men, who cannot live in peace with one another.

GCI & WCG are Deeply Divided

Word has reached me from key insiders within Grace Communion International and The worldwide Church of God, Uk, that there are deep divisions within both organisations. From what I was told, it would appear that around 50% of the membership in both organisations want to hold on to what Herbert W. Armstrong taught about the trinity and the holy days, and the other 50% are happy with the false teachings introduced by Joseph Tkach, which were expanded upon and consolidated by his son, Joe junior.

Among the 50% that wants to hold on to the traditional teachings of the church are some well know ministers. However, these ministers have been warned that if they publicly preach against the changes, they will be excommunicated. So being cowards, they have agreed to be publicly silent, and only speak, privately, to those that will listen to them. Sadly, the laity have been duped into adopting the same strategy of public silence.

Of course this is not how the apostle behaved. In the midst of severe, cruel and brutal persecutions, they never ceased to preach the true gospel, and warned God’s faithful children to have no fellowship with the works of dankness(Eph.5:7-8).

Will Jesus Attend Your Feast?

True Christians have began celebrating the autumn festivals of Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. My family and I will be leaving home on Wednesday to celebrate to Feast of Tabernacles, in Paignton, Devon.

Members of The Worldwide Church of God, UK, will also be in Devon, but they will not be celebrating the Feast of tabernacles, as they have been deceived by Tkach and his misguided supporters, into believing that Jesus abolished the Feast. So why will they be in Devon for the period of the Feast? None of them is able to give a sensible answer to this question!

Also, the hundreds of divided groups, that have been formed since the break up of WCG in 1995 will also be gathering at various locations around the world, to celebrate what they think is the Feast of Tabernacles. But nothing could be further from the truth! Plus it would take me too long to show that since Jesus will not be among them, they cannot be celebrating the God’s Feast. These festival occasions provide opportunities for the leadership of the divided groups to fleece their deluded membership of their money.

The leaders of the major groups, such as, UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG, ICG and COG/Hulme have, from their inception, been fighting among themselves, and various hirelings among them have left one divided group to join another divided group. Talk about confusion, and “perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds”(I Tim.6:5). These heretics think that “gain,” that is, money, “is godliness.”

But true Christians are instructed: “from such withdraw yourselves”(1 Tim.6:5). So that is why my family and I won’t be seen dead among them.

May God's faithful people have a happy and uplifting Feast of Tabernacles.

Another Hireling Has Jumped Ship

Word has reached me that UCG has fractured yet again. This time I believe that Leon Walker, the director of the Spanish work, has jumped ship and persuaded a number of gullible, deceived passengers to do the same thing. Of course, they were leaving a ship that had already floundered on the rocks of greed, duplicity and biblical ignorance.

Since UCG was formed in 1995, its leadership have tacitly accepted that Christ is divided and God is the author of confusion. One example will serve to illustrate the madness of their acceptance. After Larry Salyar, as part of the gang of four, conspired to hijack The Global Church, and his treachery was exposed. He abandoned the gang of three, and set off to join UCG. UCG’s leadership never questioned Larry’s treachery, as they are traitors themselves. They just accepted him as a genuine minister of Christ, which is blasphemy! If UCG’s leadership didn’t believe that Christ is divided, and God is the author of confusion, Larry would not have been accepted as a minister in their ranks!

So even though Leon Walker has jumped ship and taken a number of insane passengers with him, he will still be regarded by all the COGs as a genuine minister of Christ, who just couldn’t live at peace with his fellow ministers. But by some miracle, he hopes to live at peace with them in God kingdom for all eternity. If this belief is not rabid madness, then it has to be “the mystery of iniquity” gone mad.

Mr. Armstrong and Prophecy

With the collapse of the global economic system, plugging many countries into economic recession, the prophecies of the bible as outlined by Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong are beginning to be fulfilled. The economic crisis has forced Germany to assert its authority over the European Union, as poorer countries seek its help with their respective burden of debt. Greece has had to be bailed out by the IMF and Germany, and it is possible, if not probable, that the Germans will have to bail out Spain and Portugal, not to mention the other poor eastern European countries, that are struggling to repay their burden of debt.

Britain and America are also in financial trouble. Depending on who you believe, Britain’s debt is some where between £160 to £250b, when interest is included. And America’s debt is reported to be around $13 trillion dollars. These debts are a clear indication that God is gradually withdrawing the birthright blessings he conferred upon Ephraim and Manasseh, because of disobedience to the laws of God.

America and Britain are also the leaders of the military coalition currently fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. According to prophecy they are destined to lose both of these wars, as the “pride of their power” has been broken by God. Eventually, they will be forced to withdraw out of sheer exhaustion. And the billions of dollars and pounds that could have been used to improve the lives of their respective people, would have been wasted. But what is even sadder, are the wasted lives of the young men who have been sacrificed and maimed in pursuit of a lost cause.

Against this background, Germany is calling for greater integration in Europe. The proposed plan is to centralise economic, military and foreign policy in Brussels. The commission is to set budgets and spending plans for all member states; respond to conflicts around the world by sending its own military forces, by passing the UN; appoint a foreign minister who will speak on behalf of all states. If this political configuration is not the prophetic Union recorded in the bible and explained by Mr. Armstrong, then I don’t know what is.

The formation of the European Union will have severe consequences for Britain and America, but that story has been told in Mr. Armstrong’s seminal book, America and Britain in Prophecy.

Sadly, many of the former ministers of WCG have rejected the prophecies of the bible, to embraced satanic Protestantism. And those who still pay lip service to Mr. Armstrong's teachings, have started their own churches to fleece deluded people of their tithes and offerings.

Ezekiel 34 Applies to you

In the Worldwide Church of God when ministers referred to Ezekiel chapter 34, they always applied it the Catholics, Protestants, Pentecostals and any other so-called Christian, religious denomination. Amazingly, they never applied it to themselves! I supposed it was much easier to point their fingers at other people, than to be introspective.

Yet, Ezekiel 34 is written to and about the ministers of God’s true church. Note the warning from God thus: “Prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus says the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?”(Ezekiel 34:2). Jesus also enjoined Peter to feed his sheep, as proof of his love for him(John 21:15-18). And when Paul was about to leave Asia for good, “from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elder of the church.” And when they were come, among other things, he told them: “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood”(Acts 20:28).

There is so much I could say on this topic, that it would require the writing of a book to do it justice. Suffice to say, the ministers of WCG, who actually turned out to be hirelings, feed themselves, instead of the sheep. Full time ministers had access to a house, a car, travel expenses, the best caravans or hotels at the feast of tabernacles and a exorbitant salary for preaching a meaningless sermon on the Sabbath, or writing articles for the Plain Truth or The Good News. Articles that did not contained the plain truth nor the good news!

While these evil men wallowed in the lap luxury, many of the poor sheep and their children were experiencing grinding poverty. I knew families who couldn’t pay utilities bills or buy a new pair of shoes for their children!

When the flock was sick, they were often sent a meaningless anointed cloth, as they were not judged to be important enough to warrant a visit from a hireling. In retrospect, they were probably better off not having a hireling in their homes.

But what does God have to say about the behaviour of these evil hirelings, who are operating in UCG, LCG, RCG, PCG, COG/Hulme, and all the other splinter groups? Anyone who is interested may read the rest of Ezekiel 34:4-10, but I shudder to think of the severity of the judgment of God, when it is visited upon these evil men, who place their welfare before the welfare of God people, for whom Christ died!

The truth is their tormentor

Yesterday, out of mere curiosity, I looked in on Otagosh, the so-called intellectual blog of Gavin Rumney. Otagosh is aspiring to discuss the authority of the bible, drawing on the writings of a cabal of disunited scholars. In addition, Gavin likes to think that he has sufficient précis skills and intellectual knowledge to undertake competent book reviews. Nothing is more laughable.

But what was even more risible, was the following: “ You're currently logged in as Tom Mahon. You may not comment with this account.” It would be a waste of my precious time to comment on any of the drivel posted on Otagosh, even if I was not banned from doing so.

However, I note that Gavin’s fan club, who is only interested in the sordid actualities of the lives of former WCG ministers, have deserted him. For example, Dennis The Depressed, Douglas The Deranged and Corky The Irrational, three former prolific contributors to AW blog are not posting at Otagosh. Perhaps even these mad men find the content of the blog over pretentious.

I also note that Gavin, who is as unstable as water, have resurrected AW blog, yet again: albeit, he says, “for a week or two." The leopard cannot change its spots, and the dog always returns to its own vomit.

Finally, I consider it an honour to be banned from posting at Otagosh, Phenyngula and being shunned by those who peddled the theory of evolution.

Having loved this Present world…

The final words of most great men are often worth remembering. So it is worth examining a passage in the final words of the Chosen Vessel. In the Chosen Vessel’s second epistle to Timothy, we read: “For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world…”(2 Tim. 4:10). What does it mean to love this present world, and who or what would have caused Demas to forsake Paul?

To answer these questions we have to examine some very pertinant, biblical texts. The Apostle John was inspired to write: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the father in not in him(1 John 2:15). Now, it should be evident that God is not saying, people should not love the beauty of nature, For the text goes on to say: "For all that are in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world"(1 John 2:16). The phrase, "is of the world," means is of Satan, who is the god of this world.

So when Demas forsaked Pual he was leaving God to follow the devil. Of course, Demas in not alone, for many former members of The Worldwide Church of God, who love this present world, have forsaken the wholesome teachings of the bible to embraced the doctrines of Satan. For example, the leaders and ministers/hirelings of UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG and COG/Hulme have also forsaken Paul, because they love this present world.

How to Identify a Hireling

A quick survey of the hundreds of churches of God that were formed since the break up of The Worldwide Church of God in 1995, will show that Jesus’ teaching on the nature and character of hirelings has been ignored: or what is more likely, not understood by the laity or the so-called ministers peddling their brand of Christianity in cog-land.

I take no credit for this, but I am only former member of WCG, who have spent the last 15 years pointing out that the vast majority of WCG’s former ministers were actually hirelings. You see, the hireling can remain hidden among the flock for years! The hireling conceals his duplicity, treachery and ultimate betrayal of God’s elect under “good words and fair speeches”(Romans. 16:18). But when the wolf pack comes over the hill to attack the flock, the hireling’s pretence of love and concern for the flock are then exposed. Note what Jesus taught, “But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep”(John 10:12). And then he added with emphasis, “The hireling flees, because he is hireling, and cares not for the sheep”(John 10:13).

The behaviour of the vast majority of former WCG ministers fit into the description Christ gave on how a hireling behaves. When the wolf pack led by Mr.Tkach attacked the flock, the vast majority of WCG ministers fled, leaving the flock to fend for themselves. Not one single UK minister spoke out against the doctrinal changes, or warned the brethren that they were being fed spiritual poison. Yet, they now want sensible people to believe that they are faithful ministers of Christ, and that God is using them to preach the gospel. Nothing could be more blasphemous!

However, in contrast to the duplicity of the hireling, note how the good shepherd behaves thus, “The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep”(John 10:11). The good shepherd possesses the the nature and character of Christ, and as Christ was willing to lay down his life for the brethren, the love of God constrains his faithful ministers to do the same on behalf of his flock.

So none of God’s people have been deceived into following those who started UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG, COG/Hulme or any of other hundreds COGs, masquerading as churches of God. For Jesus was very emphatic when said: “A stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers”(John10:5). Have you fled from the voice of the hireling? If you haven’t it is because you are not one of Christ’s sheep!

The Mind of Christ

Some anonymous person wrote to me stating that I do not have the mind of Christ. The person did not say what led them to this conclusion, nor did he or she presented any evidence or advanced any argument in support of his or her assertion. Of course, these are often the type of unsupported assertions hurled at God’s people because their detractors don’t understand the values that true Christians are required to uphold as a way of life. In addition, the assertion that I don’t have the mind of Christ, presupposes that the person stating it understands what is the mind of Christ, and is able recognise it in those in whom it dwells.

However, instead of wasting time exposing the folly of my detractors, it might be helpful to genuine Christian to post something on the mind of Christ. In Paul’s inspired epistle to the Philippians, we read: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus”(Phil.2:5). If we put to ourselves the question, what was in Christ’s mind that made him beloved of the father? To answer this question we need to ponder the question posed by Micah thus: “Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God?”(Micah 6:6). Now many people who attend church on Sundays and on the Sabbaths think that they are appearing before the Lord, and that their presence is welcome by him. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Notice Micah’s inspired answer thus, “He has shown you, Oh man, what the Lord require of you,

1.to do justly

2.to love mercy

3.to walk humbly with your God

These virtue permeated the mind of Christ, and was manifested in the way he treated the people with whom he came into contact. Jesus treated all men justly, and taught his disciples that they should not respect persons judgment. He also extended mercy to many, by feeding thousands, healing the sick and casting out demons. And we are told, “He made himself of no reputation.”(Phil.2:7). the same could never be said of the hirelings leading UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG, COG/Hulme or any of the other divided COGs. Most of these men are arrogant, pompous and above all vain. So when these men and their gullible followers go to church, they certainly don’t appear before the Lord. For unless people have the mind of Christ developing in them, God will not invite them to appear before him.

Moreover notice what being humble did for Jesus, “Wherefore God has highly exalted him, and has given him a name that is above every name”(Phil. 2:9). And the apostle Peter was inspired to Write: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble”(1 Peter 5:5). So if we want to appear before the Lord, we need the mind of Christ. And if we want to reign with him, we need to be clothed with humility, and not with the garments of pride, which are so proudly worn by the hirelings in cog-land.

You Will Be Next

The 7.0 Haitian quake has provided an opportunity for mindless journalists to ask absurd questions, and make predictable, derogatory comments about the poverty and corruption in the country. It has also provided an opportunity for camera crews from around the world to photographed the dead and injured, and send the pictures back to gloating editors, whose motto is; “If it bleeds, it leads.” Of course, editors of the various media outlets are just happy to make money at anyone’s expense, even if it means degrading the subjects to do so.

But if a 7.0 quake should hit any major city in the world, it is bound to kill and injure thousands of people, whether the people are rich and there is no corruption in the city, which is highly unlikely. The dead and suffering of the injured are bound to leave survivors in a state of shock and disorientation, and their first priority would be to try and find the dead or surviving members of their own family. So I can’t see the relationship between poverty and a people’s ability to response to the suffering of their neighbours.

However, in spite of the nonsensical, tectonic theories trotted out by seismologists, who, by the way, are unable to predict where and when a quake will occur, quakes can and will occur in places that are not located on so-called “Ring of Fire.” Jesus prophesied that earthquakes will occur in “diverse places,” as a sign that we are approaching end of the world(Matt.24:7). So today it is Haiti, but tomorrow it could be any where.

But more importantly, when Jesus was told about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate mingled with his sacrifices, and of the 18 people on whom the temple of Siloam fell, he replied, “think you that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no, but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish”(Luke 13:1-5).

Now it is pretty clear that the former members of The Worldwide Church of God and the current members of all of the divided splinter groups, that came out of WCG, are beyond repentance. So when the overflowing scourge passes through, they will be swept away, especially the ministers who have spent a generation lying to the flock, and fleecing them to feed themselves(Isaiah 28:14-18).

God’s People Are Always Happy

Once again the world is celebrating the beginning of another pagan New Year. Most people are greeting one another with the phrase, “Happy New Year!” Of course, this greeting is only an insincere yearly ritual. For man, driven by innate selfishness, doesn’t want anyone to be happy but himself, and perhaps his so-called friends, provided they are not as happy as he is. Not that anyone who is separated from God is ever likely to be happy!

However, In contrast to man’s insincerity, genuine Christians do desire and pray for the peace and happiness of one another. They embraced the promise of Jesus, when he said: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you”(John 14:27). The world offers an empty wish, but Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to comfort his people, at a time that is described as perilous(2 Tim.3:1).

Of course, I have stated many times before, that there are no genuine Christians in any of the pagan, Protestants churches of this world, or in the current Worldwide Church of God, or any of the hundreds of splinter groups that have been formed sine the breakup WCG in 1995. All of these groups teach that Christ is divided and God in the author of confusion. Yet the Apostle was inspired to write the following text:(1 Cor.1:10).

Anyway, God sacred New Year begins on the 16 March this year, and 14 days later, after extensive fasting and prayer, the faithful people of God will be invited by him to take the Passover with Christ Jesus, who promised to take it new with them in his kingdom. This profound mystery cannot be understood by anyone who has not been clothed in humility, for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble(1 Pet.5:5).

So, what ever happens in this godless world of duplicity, violence, injustice and betrayal, God’s people will always be happy, for they are comforted by his Holy Spirit of peace and joy.

2012, Reality or Fiction?

Much has been written about a supposed Mayan prophecy announcing the end of the world on 21 December 2012. The irrational sceptics posting ridicule and abuse on the various blogs, have dismissed the prophecy as “rubbish.” Many others believe that no one can foretell the future, so all prophecy, whether biblical or Mayan, must be rejected as the ranting either of Jewish “goat herders” or the insanity of “blood thirsty Mayans priests." But should the final date of the Mayan Calendar be dismissed as nonsense because some people are unable to separate fact from fiction? I don’t think so.

It has been reported and verified by the Spanish conquistadors, that the Mayans prophesied hundreds of years in advance, that their empire or civilisation would be overthrown on a specific date, which was fulfilled on the very date in 1533. This prophecy can’t be dismissed as the insane ranting of a “blood thirst Mayan priest,” or be compared with the vague and opaque prophecies of Nostradamus, which are interpreted after events have occurred.

Does the above mean that I believe that the world will end on 21 December 2012? No, I don’t. For Jesus said: "For of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels in heaven, but my Father only"(Matt.24:36). And there is no clear evidence that any Mayan has prophesied it will, either. But since the Mayan calendar doesn’t go beyond 21 December 2012, one has to ask oneself, why does it end on that date? And since they have prophesied at least one major event that has been fulfilled, I believe it would be very unwise not to expect some significant event to occur on that date or leading up to that date.

Furthermore, when Herbert W. Armstrong started preaching the gospel in South America, it was discovered that many of the people living there were already familiar with the Holy Days, the Sabbath and some other doctrines of the bible. This would indicate that at some time in the past, men of God were preaching and teaching the bible among these people. And these men were able to prophesy the destruction of the Mayan pagan society, which occurred in 1533. And these same Christians were responsible for passing on the knowledge of God’s calendar to the Mayans, which has been corrupted by dishonest men. Just as the wholesome teachings of Mr. Armstrong have been corrupted by misguided men, who have developed their own brand of religion for the sake of money.

So, will 2012 usher in a period of unprecedented misery? If the perilous times in which we live is a guide to the future, the answer has to be yes!

To Which Fable Have You Turned?

The Apostle Paul was inspired to write that in the last days some church members shall depart from “the faith,“ be seduced by “doctrines of devils” and living with destroyed consciences(1 Tim.4:1-2). Peter also added that many will turn to fables.

Even a quick examination of the doctrines and practices of the splinter groups that have been formed since the break up of The Worldwide Church of God, will reveal that most no longer understand, if they ever did, or teach “sound doctrine.” Sadly, many now teach that the bible and the theory of evolution are compatible! Even luminaries such as, the depressed Dennis, the deranged Douglas, the gibbering Gavin and many of the mindless cabal of scoffers that coalesce around AW blog have turned to fables.

Dennis is now a promoter of the idiotic ideas of astrology over the divine revelation of the bible. And of course, Douglas is an expert in psychological disorders, and is therefore able to reduce every complex problem to the mental disorder of incompetence. The rest of the cabal hold Mr. Herbert Armstrong personally responsible for every problem in the world, including their return to fables!

The Delusion of Universal Salvation

During the Feast of Tabernacles, which neither The Worldwide Church of God nor Grace Communion International no longer celebrate, I picked up a booklet by J. Michael Feazell entitled, Predestination – Does God Let You Choose your Own Fate?

Feazell erects a number of “straw men” arguments by quoting selected texts from Calvin and Aristotle and then proceeded to set fire to them, in a vain attempt to disprove the doctrine of predestination. Feazell glosses over Romans chapters 9-11 and Ephesians 1-3, but did not refer to the allegory of Galatians 4:21-31 or attempted to explain why God choose Jacob over Esau, before they were born, even though none had done any good or evil(Romans. 9:11).

Feazell concluded that because Christ died for the sin of the world salvation is available to everyone. All they have to do is believe in the atoning sacrifice of Christ. But even here, Feazell does not emphasise that belief or faith in Christ is demonstrated by obedience to the laws of God, including the fourth commandment, which says, remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy.

Of course, to genuine Christians, Feazell’s tendentious but flawed exegesis of Paul’s exposition of the doctrine of predestination is not surprising. For Feazell was one of the pirates who hijacked WCG and shipwrecked it on the rocks of Protestantism.

Nevertheless, the Lord knows those that are his, and none of them will ever be deceived by the subtle ranting of deluded men.

Will Jesus be at your Feast site?

Last Monday was the day of atonement. Sadly, its full, spiritual meaning was never understood by the ministers in the former Worldwide Church of God. WCG ministers used to preach, and probably still do, that believers will be at one with Christ when he returns, and the devil will be bound for a thousand years. They failed to understand that believers are now at one with Christ, and that the devil has already been bound. However, it would take too long to explain the Christian unity with Christ, and how the the devil was bound.

Now, this coming Sabbath will be the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles. The divided church groups that came out of WCG will be meeting in various locations around the world. Their main purpose will be to collect offerings from their misguided followers, claiming that it is needed to preach the gospel. But in reality, the money will be used to pay themselves large salaries to keep them in a lifestyle of ease and luxury. Will people never learn?

However, God’s few faithful people will be celebrating the Feast in fellowship with God the father and Jesus Christ. The question is, will Jesus be attending your feast site?

Blow the trumpet in Zion

The Chosen Vessel was inspired to write: “For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself for the battle?”(1 Cor.14:8). Sadly, the trumpets that are being blown in the so-called churches of God in cog-land, are not only making an uncertain sound, they are making a cacophony of discordant noises. GCI, UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG, COG/Hulme and all the other divided COGs are in dispute over which note should be sounded to warn their members to prepare for the battle. In fact, most leaders of the various divided COGs don’t understand what battle is to be fought or who is the real enemy.

In contrast to the COGs leader’s abysmal ignorance, the genuine people of God understand that they do not wrestle against flesh and blood. For again, the Chosen Vessel was inspired to write: (Ephesians 6:12). So God’s faithful children are in the process of being clothed with the armour of righteousness thus: (Ephesians 6:11-18). They are sure of winning the battles to come, for they have been emphatically informed and assured by Jesus: “No man can pluck you out of my father’s hand.”

So there are seven trumpets to be blown before the return of Christ, and they will all make a “certain sound.” But the question is, which one will be commented on in cog-land this coming Feast of Trumpets?

A Salutary Warning

Apostle Paul was inspired to pen the following to genuine Christians thus: “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrines you have learned; and avoid them”(Romans.16:17).

Firstly, we must remind ourselves of the doctrines we have learned. We have learned that Christ is not divided . For Paul was inspired to write: “Now I beseech, you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and the same judgment”(1 Cor.1:10). So from this and other biblical texts, we learned that the genuine people of God are united in believing and teaching the same things. For Christ is not divided, nor is God the author of confusion.

Secondly, we must now put to ourselves the question, who have been causing divisions and offences contrary to the doctrines we have learned? Well, unless we have been afflicted with supernatural blindness, it should be evident that the leaders of GCI, LCG, UCG, PCG, RCG, COG/Hulme and all the other COG groups are divided on various doctrines, and certainly do not speak the same thing.

Now Paul goes on to say: “They that are such,” that is, those who cause divisions and offences contrary to unity, “serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own bellies; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple”(Romans.17:18). Please note that Paul was inspired to write, that those who cause divisions, "serve not our Lord Jesus Christ." This post will be much too long if I list all the examples and name all the men who have caused divisions, and when off and started their own churches to serve their own bellies.

However, genuine Christians are commanded to "avoid them." So there are no genuine Christians assembling with any of these groups, else they would be disobeying God's command to "avoid them." And one cannot be a Christian, if one is disobeying the teachings of Christ.

So it follows that the people assembling with these evil men are those that Paul described as "simple." These simple-minded people and the evil men who are making merchandise of them, will be hurled into the lake of fire, where their worm dies not. What a tragedy!

Was the bible written for you?

Over the centuries the bible has become a public document, but it was originally intended for the private use of God's chosen people. The prophets wrote exclusively for the nation of Israel, providing instruction to the nation on how to live in harmony with one another, how to worship God and how to discern between Good and evil. Similarly, the gospels and the epistles of the New Testament were private documents to the members of the church.

However, over time, hirelings and heretics left the church taking copies of the bible with them. Many of them, like the leaders of UCG, RCG, LCG, PCG, COG/Hulme and others, proceeded to set up their own church organisations, with the expressed intention of making merchandise of gullible people. Of course, to God's faithful people, this behaviour is not surprising, for Paul was inspired to warn Timothy and other genuine ministers Thus: (Acts 20:28-30).

In addition, so-called scholars came along and reinterpreted the bible. So today, we have thousands of nonsensical books purporting to offer authentic explanations of what the bible has to say. Of course, the authors are completely ignorant of the divine revelation, and devoid of the spirit of God, without which, no one is able to understand the bible. For Paul was also inspired to write thus: (1 Cor.2:12). And in contrast, he added, "But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned"(1 Cor.2:14).

So genuine Christians should not be dismayed or surprised at the widespread biblical ignorance that is often displayed on the various blogs and web sites in cyberspace, for it was not given to hirelings, heretics or scoffers to understand the mysteries of the kingdom heaven! Hence Jesus' emphatic statement: (Matt. 13:11).

The Mystery Remains.

The mystery remains! To what mystery am I referring, you may ask? Well, it is the mystery that haunts the minds of those former members of The Worldwide Church of God, who can't explain why they became members of the church! But are now convinced that they were duped into believing doctrines that are not true, robbed of tithes and offerings and denied many of joys of life, by being taught not to celebrate birthdays, Easter, Christmas, Halloween and many other pagan festivals.

But why and how did these people come to be members of the church? They were not stopped in the street by fanatical zealots distributing leaflets, warning them that if they didn't join the church they would burn in hell fire. I am aware that some members and attendees came to the church because of their parents, but the vast majority of those who are now disillusioned, came by other means, for which they take no responsibility!

They are now talking as though they were kidnapped by hooligans employed by Mr Armstrong, to go out and hunt for mindless vagrants, who were sleeping in the highways and hedges of the world. And although I hesitate to say that these people were of sound minds, they were not so mentally ill to be allowed a valid plea of insanity. So please stop whinging about being duped, and admit that you came to the church of your own volition, but failed live up the high calling of God in Christ Jesus!

As in the days of Noah

Jesus described the perilous times in which we live as similar to the days of Noah thus (Matt.24:37-38). Noah, of course, was warned by God of an impending flood, that would destroy the wicked from off the earth. Because Noah found favour with God, he was instructed to build an ark for the saving of his family, which he proceeded to do. The Scriptures indicate that Noah was around 500 years old when he was warned by God of the impending flood, which came in the 600 year of Noah's life.

Peter also states that Noah was "a preacher of righteousness" (2 Pet. 2:5); and while building the Ark, he was also warning the world of the coming flood. Of course, Noah's warnings were ignored, just as Herbert Armstrong's preaching was ignored by the vast majority of people who heard him, including most of the ministers and laity of The Worldwide Church of God.

However, this time the world will not be destroyed by a flood, but by fire. Note what Peter was also inspired to write thus: (2 Pet. 3:10). And as in the days of Noah, the people of the world turned a deaf ear to the warnings of God, today, the world is behaving exactly in the same manner, including the devious charlatans operating the various splinter groups in cog-land.

So the question is this: how many people will be saved when Jesus returns? If the parallel conditions are the same, why will more than 8 people be saved?

The Role of Christian Women

Many former WCG men and women who have been influenced by the ideas of Simone de Beauvior and her followers, now reject the teachings of the bible on the status and role of Christian women. With the transformation of WCG to GCI, Joe junior has allowed the development of what is called, "Women Ministries." And many of the COGs, that had their roots in WCG, have adopted a liberal view toward the role of women in their respective churches.

However, the teaching of the bible on the role of women is very clear and emphatic thus: "I would have you know that, the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God"(1 Cor.11:3). This structure was established by God, and not Herbert W. Armstrong, as many seemed to believe.

Now Paul's inspired instruction to the church on the role women is, "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also says the law"(1 Cor.14:34). And in his letter to Timothy, he writes: "Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor usurp authority over the man, but be in silence."

Yet, in spite of these inspired instructions, GCI now allow women to song lead, give opening and closing prayers, sermonettes and even write teaching articles for its flagship publication. The other COGs may not have gone that far, but some are definitely disobeying and rejecting the clear teachings of the bible, in order to placate rebellious women who have been influenced by the ideas of Simone de Beauvior and her followers. Of course, for centuries in Baptist and Pentecostal churches, women have been preaching, testifying and falling to the floor claiming to be speaking in tongues.

Well, a salutary reminder to the women who think they are behaving like the "five wise virgins," but are actually behaving like the "foolish," might be, "remember Lot's wife."

Pentecost, A Day of Judgment.

As we approach the day of Pentecost, many of the churches that were formed since the break up of WCG will be preparing to celebrate the day as the "the birthday of the church." And the hirelings that now operate out of UCG, PCG, LCG, RCG, COG-Hulme and all the other divided splinter groups, will be preparing sermons entitled, "The Meaning of the Day." This approach is not surprising, for they inherited it as a tradition from WCG.

But does God require or has he asked his children to celebrate the birthday of the church? The answer to this question will surprise many! And I defy anyone to prove to me that Pentecost is a celebration of the birth of the church!

On the contrary, Pentecost is a day or a period of judgment, as it mirrors The Last Great Day, which follows the Feast of Tabernacles, which is also a period of judgment. Pentecost begins that period of time, which is summed up in the phrase, "now is the day of salvation". It is during this time that the prophecy given to Moses is being fulfilled. For God told Moses: "I will have mercy on whom he will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion"(Romans.9:15). That act of mercy and compassion began on the day of Pentecost, with the gift of the Holy Spirit, to his elect.

So when Jesus stood up on the The last Great Day of the Feast, and spoke thus: John 7:37-39. His sermon was about what would happen on Pentecost and beyond, as God began to call "the vessels of mercy" to salvation, and reject "the vessels of wrath"(Romans 9:22-24).

Swine Flu: a biblical Prophecy?

I am not sure how destructive the current outbreak of swine flu is likely to be, but the Bible prophesies disease epidemics that will kill millions. This outbreak could be the partial fulfilment of those prophecies. The pivotal prophecy that Mr. Herbert Armstrong used to constantly remind the church of is found in Matt.24:7.

The events outlined there are described as "the beginning of sorrows." Of course, these prophetic warnings have been rejected by Joe Tkach and his loony supporters, and also by a growing cabal of insane scoffers, especially the mindless group that tend to coalesce around AW blog, feeding on endless gossip, innuendo and slander. But the madness of scoffers was foretold by God thus 2 Pet.3:3-5.

Meanwhile, the WHO and other health agencies are now panicking, while trying to reassure the public that all will be well. But if this outbreak is a fulfilment of prophecy, all their health measures and reassurances will prove useless.

However, God's elect has nothing to fear. For they have this promise Psalm 91:1-15. And all the promises of God are (2 Cor.1:20).

Christian or Just Religious, Which?

Is being religious the same as being Christian? Well, I think it is obvious to Protestants, Catholics and other evangelical denominations, that the people who worship at the altars of eastern religions are not Christian. But Protestants, Catholics and other evangelicals tend to believe that they are all Christian, even tough they can't agree on what the bible teaches on marriage, homosexuality, contraception, the ordination of women and a host of other precepts and practices.

This misguided belief is very evident amongst the so-called churches of God. For example, UCG has a different form of government from LCG, PCG, RCG, COG/Hulme and a host of other divided splinter groups. Also, ever so often turf wars breakout among the various churches of god, and ministers, or to be more exact, hirelings leave to start their own church or join some other divided group. A recent example was John Meakin leaving COG/Hulme to join LCG. Yet, because of some form of aberration, they all believe that they are Christian. Well, nothing could be further from the truth.

After Jesus delivered his sermon on the mount, defining the characteristics of a true Christian, he summed it up thus: Matt. 7:24-27. So to determine who is a Christian, all we have to do is review the sayings of Christ, and then look around to see who is doing them.

Now no one in his right mind can believe that Christ is divided, or that a faithful minister of Christ would forsake a group of Christians and join another group of Christians, and some how believe that both groups will one day end up in the kingdom of God. If this practice is not madness, then I must be insane!

A Complete Metamorphosis

With WCG changing its name to Grace Communion International, Joe Tkach's journey from Damascus is now complete. The journey to oblivion began in the late 1980s with a covert visit to Azuzu Pacific, a theological college based in southern California. There Joe and his fellow cohorts were seduced by Satan in believing that Mr. Armstrong was a false prophet and that WCG was a dangerous cult. One could never image the horror that must have assailed the cohort at this enlightening announcement!

Of course, the story of how the cohort persuaded the unstable Tkach senior to adopt the doctrines of devils have been told over and over again, even by hirelings who were complicit in disseminating them among an unsuspecting laity. So there is no need for me to rehearse that story here. Suffice to say, that those "ministers," who were actually hirelings, are equally as guilty as the cohort for the scattering of God flock upon every mountain(Ezek. 34:6).

Nevertheless, many in LCG, UCG, COG-Hulme, PCG, RCG and most of the other divided, splinter groups will lament this bizarre transformation from a butterfly to a caterpillar!

However, God never ceases to encourage his faithful people by visiting his wrath on the wicked. So don't be surprised if the cohort is swiftly removed from the scene, now that they have completed their journey from Damascus.

The Passover or Bread and Wine?

In the next few days many of the divided groups in cog-land, led by hirelings, who left WCG, drawing away disciples after them, will be get together to celebrate what they will be calling the Passover. But does the act of eating unleavened bread and drinking wine on the 14th of Nisan constitutes observing the Passover? Many will be surprised to learn that the answer is no!

In ancient Israel only the circumcised and the undefiled could honourably celebrate the Passover. And under the NT dispensation, only the spiritually circumcised, who live a life of sanctity and obedience are counted worthy to take the Passover.

The Passover is the communion of the blood and body of Christ(1 Cor.10:16), and those who eat at the table of devils cannot also eat at the table of the Lord (1 Cor.10:21). The hirelings and their followers, who spends every day of their tragic lives eating at the table of devils, are of the perverse, misguided impression that they would be allowed to eat of the table of the Lord. They may take of the symbols of the Passover, but Christ, who is the substance will not be there for them to feed on.

Sadly and tragically, those who have remained under the tyranny and deception of Joe junior, have adopted the Protestant practice of observing what is insultingly called, "the Lord's supper." These are completely insane!

However, when the death angel passes through none of them will be able to escape his vengeance!

A Time For Growth

Spring is here! It is a time of and for growth(Song 2:11-13). But growth is not automatic. The farmer understands that seeds grow better in good ground, that has been well prepared. He also appreciates the need to regularly water his fields. But after carry out these tasks, he remains helpless! For only God is able to give the increase. 1 Cor.3:6). The farmer just has to wait to see whether he will have a bumper harvest, or whether Joel 1:4.

Similarly, spiritual growth is not automatic. For just as in the physical world, the ground must be good and well prepared, so that the seed of the word may germinate deep roots. Else when the sun gets hot, in the form of persecution, the plants will wither and die(Mark 4:16-17), as we have sadly witnessed in the fields of WCG, UCG, PCG RCG, LCG, COGHulme, and all the divided groups in cog-land.

Still, God has provided faithful ministers to feed his people with knowledge and understanding(Jer. 3:15; Eph. 4:11-14). Their role is to edify the body Christ, and bring its members into the UNITY of the faith.

And of course, I am not referring to any of the men that were ordained "ministers" in WCG, who are actually hirelings. These evil men have divided the church and exploited the brethren for the sake "filthy lucre ." These charlatans are not able to feed anyone with knowledge and understanding, as they are completely ignorant of and disobedient to the teachings of the bible.

But those who truly love God, and desire to see him glorified, will heed the warnings of Jesus and
Peter thus: John 15:5-6; 2 Pet. 3:17-18, and will continue to produce good fruit.

The Hireling flees, because he is a Hireling.

On reflection it is quite shocking to realise that most of the men that were ordained ministers in WCG were actually hirelings. But before their hireling status was revealed, they were sometimes able to conceal their devious character under the guise of a true minister of Christ. I said sometimes, for ever so often their malevolant character did coming shining through. But it would be tidious to go through all the instances when my local pastors and visiting hirelings revealed that they were ministers of Satan. And on reflection, their behaviour is not all that surprising, for Paul was inspired to write in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15.

In view of Paul's inspired comments, these evil me were "transformed as the ministers of righteousness," but in reality they were and are the ministers of Satan. And please note Paul's inspired final phrase: "whose end shall be according to their works."

So let us briefly examine their works, so that we can determine their end. Many of them were drunkards, adulterers, liars, covetous and skilled in the art of duplicity and intrigue. But the act that finally exposed their hireling nature was the abandonment of God's elect when the wolf pack attacked the flock. Their works are evil, so their end will be the lake of fire, where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched(Mark 9:44).

So if we contrast the behaviour of the good shepherd with that of the hireling, the malevolence of the hireling's works is clearly manifest. For the words of Jesus are these: John 10:11. A minister that possesses the character of Christ will behave as Christ behaved, and lay down his life for the flock, not run away and leave them to be scattered by the wolves.

Now let us examine how the WCG's hirelings behaved when the flock was under attack? Jesus goes on to say: John 10:12-13. Please note the salient phrase: "The hireling flees BECAUSE he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep." If WCG's ministers were not hirelings, they would not have fled; but would have laid down their lives for the flock.

Now the question that needs to be answered is this: How did the "ministers" that are now operating in UCG, LCG, PCG, RSG, COGHulme and all the other divided groups in cog-land behave when the flock was under attack from the wolf pack, which was led by Tkach senior? If people are willing to honestly answer this question, they will be driven to the inescapable conclusion that all these men are hirelings.

A Prophet Ahead Of His Time

All God's servants may be described as men way ahead of their time, for they are led by the spirit of prophecy to understand future events. That is why Mr. H.W. Armstrong was able to foretell the scattering of the church, and the rise of a cabal of hirelings, whose sole purpose is to draw away disciples after them, to extort tithes and offerings from them.

So today, we see a multiplicity of divided church groups, all claiming to represent Jesus, as though Christ is divided or God is the author of confusion. But the faithful have not been duped by any of them. For Jesus says: "My sheep will hear my voice, and a stranger they will not follow." John 10:11

Of course, Mr. Armstrong's constant warning to the faithful was, "most people in the church don't get it." This warning was not understood by the tares among the wheat, but the wheat were led by God to see and understand "the writing on the wall." So in 1995 when WCG was shattered, and those devious men who were once ordained as ministers began to position themselves to draw away disciples after them, the faithful flock fled for refuge under the wings of the Eternal.

Now, the hirelings that remained with Joe Tkach, have joined him in signing that Mr. Armstrong was a false prophet and a charlatan. Yet these same ungodly men have held on to the legacy of money and property that Mr. Armstrong left. How shameless can people be?

Also, many of the tares have formed themselves into cabals of scoffers. The most infamous of them, is the cabal that tend to coalesce around AW blog. AW blog is led by man who doesn't have an original idea in his head. But he has attracted fanatical support from an insane group, who find the blandishments of sin much more congenial than the salutary harshness of virtue. The two top positions in the group have been seized by Dennis The Depressed and Douglas The Deranged. The other members of the group pop up from time to time to remind us that they have returned to their own vomit, by celebrating Xmas, Easter, Halloween and all the other pagan festivals they once denounced, but never actually renounced.

Mr. Armstrong also prophesied that all of these evil men will be cast into the lake of fire. When this happens, I wonder who will have the courage to shout, Mr. Armstrong was a false prophet!

Anonymous Rant

Yesterday I received an incoherent rant from an irrational, anonymous writer. The venom and vitriol were quite amusing. But what was most amusing, was the unwillingness or inability of the writer to add his or her name to the comments they made. Hiding in the shadows and hurling abuse at people is not very convincing.

The person obviously disagrees with my comments. And of course, he or she is "free" to do so; and I would be more than happy to publish their comments, provided they are coherent and not abusive. I don't even mind the use of very forceful language, or rational indignation, but I am not yet capable of understanding irrational, emotional outburst of anger and rage. For the bible describes this type of uncontrolled behaviour as the "Mystery of Inequity."

However, if you are still out there, and wish to engage me in a rational discussion, please feel free to pen your coherent comments?

Evolved or Mutated, Which?

Evolution is not science! The knowledge that it is a flawed theory, has obviously escaped the superior intellect of those who make inane comments at AW blog. Darwin, probably and unwittingly, perpetrated a great hoax on a godless group of people, that are looking for every opportunity to deny the existence of God and the variety of his creation.

Of course, to evolve suggests some form of development, but the people posting at AW blog have regressed by rejecting the truth they were once taught. In reality, they have mutated to one of the lowest forms of creatures. For the bible warns and describes them thus: "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the later end is worse with them than the beginning.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire"(11 Pet. 2:20-22).

There is nothing more vile than to see a dog returning to its own vomit. The best thing for such a creature is to put it down!

What Would Jesus Say?

When people are killed in western democratic countries by what is called often called, "natural disasters," there is often an outpouring of grief and sympathy for the victims, especially if they are white. And of course, the dead are never shown on TV nor the lamentations of their relatives. But when the same happens to people in Asia and Africa, in particular, the same considerations are not give to the dead nor their grieving families. The dead, mangled bodies are often displayed on every news bulletin, and the camera never spots focusing on the lamentations of the grieving families.

In contrast, note how respectful and sensitive the news media have been to the sufferings of the people of western Australia, whose lives have been devastated by the recent conflagration. Talk about a free press that operate by double standards!

But the burning question is this: How would Jesus react to the recent disaster? Would he be saying, how sad? Or would he say, "Do you think that those Australians were sinners above all Australians, because they suffered such things? I tell you, No; but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish."

So, today it is the Australians, tomorrow it could be you - unless you repent.

I shall remain at Mizpah until desolation overspreads the land.

Another Old Chestnut

After the leader of the cabal of scoffers, that coalesce around AW blog was put to shame for regurgitating baseless allegations against God's servant, Mr. Armstrong, he quickly brought out another old chestnut, entitle "False Prophecies," believing that here he was on surer ground.

While it is true that that ministers, including Mr. Armstrong, speculated about the roles certain men might play in fulfilling bible prophecy, and those speculations turned out to be wrong, does not invalidate the actual prophecies. This contention can be easily illustrated thus. The police might believe or speculate that a certain individual might be involved in a crime because of his past behaviour. He might even be arrested and charged with the crime, only for the prosecution to later discover that he is innocent. But his innocence does not mean a crime was not committed. All it means is, the man arrested and charged was not the culprit!

Similarly, because Mr. Armstrong put the wrong people in the frame of prophecy does not mean that the prophecy will not be fulfilled, with the right people in the frame, in the fullness of time.

Of course, those people with irrational minds will stumble to the conclusion that because the police arrested and charge the wrong man, no crime was committed! In the same way, they have blindly assumed that prophecy is nonsense, because the wrong people were in the frame.

None of this madness surprises me. For Corky, who is completely deranged, avers that people of higher intelligence and devotion to their faith are more likely to be guilty of incest. If this nonsense is true, one wonders what idiots are likely to do?

An Old Chestnut

The leader of the irrational cabal of scoffers that coalesce around AW blog regurgitated the following: "It gets tedious when the defenders of Herbert W. Armstrong demand proof for his incest." It may get tedious to those who make allegations without being able to provide irrefutable evidence in support their charges, but those who believe that people are innocent until proven guilty, demand proof of guilt before conviction and execution.

The primary reason for Robinson's 1984 book was to discredit Mr. Armstrong. And any juicy rumour or whiff of slander he heard was immediately included in his diatribe against God's servant. Robinson is no different from Dennis, Douglas, Gavin, Stan, Corky, Richard , Charlie and the rest of the cabal, who left WCG screaming that HWA was a charlatan. They goal in life is to listen to or discover anything that would discredit God's servant.

Blindly, him who is pursuing, what is laughingly called, "A degree in theology" mindlessly wondered "What kind of proof would they like?" Ignoring the weakness of the question, they would like the same proof that you would want to see, if the same allegations were make against you or any of the cabal of irrational scoffers. You dumbo!

Intellectual Integrity

The following are my comments on extracts from a letter written by Keith Stump, the former WCG hireling and Plain Truth contributor. Stump wrote: "An intellectual is one who is willing to continually challenge and re-evaluate his own thoughts, theories and views." This really mean that an intellectual is not sure of what he believes or understands. For if he believes the truth, why does he need "to continually challenge and re-evaluate his own thoughts, theories and views?" This continual process would only be necessary if his "thoughts, theories and views "are based on supposition, speculation and conjecture. This endless process of re-evaluation does not apply to the truth, because the truth is eternal and immutable.

Referring to the doctrines of WCG, Stump wrote: "But there is hope. Case in point: I believe and taught that nonsense for years."

Why did Stump believe and teach these "false" doctrines for years? Did he suspend his intellectualism for the sake of money, or was he a victim of Saul Bellow's observation: "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep?" Especially when the illusion is one of money, power and influence.

Sadly, Stump has no credibility. His intellectual stance is both illogical and untenable. On the one hand, he tells us that an intellectual is supposed to evaluate the truth. Yet he admits, that for years he failed to take his own advice.

On the other hand, he wants us to believe that he was fully aware of the "perversions" of HWA, but his intellectual rigour, honesty and love for the brethren suffocated his courage, and prevented him from speaking out against them. Or was his silence induced by other motives?

The First Resurrection is here and now.

The ministry in WCG never understood the timing of the first resurrection. But this is not surprising, as they were blinded by the Laodicean disease of materialism.

However, Jesus first announced the the doctrine of the first resurrection to Nicodemus thus: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God"(Jn.3:3). Of course, Nicodemus didn't understand what Jesus was saying, and the WCG ministry never understood either.

Later in Christ ministry, he expanded on this doctrine. The narrative runs: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live"(Jn. 5:25). The dead referred to here are not those that are in the grave, but those that are spiritually dead. And notice that he says, all that here will live. But when speaking of the second resurrection, he does not say all will live.

Note what he actually says: "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming," note he doesn't say, "and now is," because he is referring to the resurrection at the end of the world, "in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth: they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation"(Jn.5:28-29).

In verse 25, the dead referred to are not in the grave, but spiritually dead, and all of these who hears Christ's voice, that is, the preaching of the gospel, will rise to life, and will not come into judgment or condemnation. But in verse 28-29, the dead are in the graves, and all who hear his voice will not live, for those that have done evil will be condemned. So verse 25 refers to the first resurrection, and verses 28-29 refer to the second resurretion, which comes at the end of the world.

Here in this brief passage, Christ announces the doctrine of the first and second resurrection, but because WCG ministry were blinded by the Laodicean disease of materialism and greed, they never understood this doctrine.

Happy New Year or Misery?

Well, another pagan New Year has been ushered in by expensive firework displays around the world, the death of revellers, drunkenness, debauchery and a raft of resolutions that will be broken before the end of January.

On the other hand, God sacred New Year, which begins on 26th of March this year, ushers in a period of fasting and pray for God's elect, in preparation for the Passover and days of unleavened bread.

Of course, God's elect don't have to make any New Year's resolutions, for when they were baptised they said: "All that the Lord has said, we will do." And though Satan has sought to undermine the courage and determination given to them by the grace of God, they have continued on the path of sanctity of life and obedience to the doctrines of Christ.

Sadly, I am also well aware that others, who used to attend with God's faithful flock also said: "All that the Lord has said, we will do," but proceeded to do as they please, including betraying God's children for a financial package! But they have some very shocking surprises coming, especially those who were ordained ministers, but were actually hirelings.

January has always been a significant month in WCG, under Mr. Armstrong's ministry. And it would be tedious, and perhaps pointless, to rehearse the many significant events that occurred in the month of January. Suffice to say, that it was on the 7th January 1995, that Tkach senior gave his infamous sermon in Atlanta, announcing that the Ten Commandment had been done away, because they were part of the old covenant. Well, by September that year he was dead!

So don't be surprised if this January ushers in some very momentous events! Whatever January and the coming year bring, God's elect will have nothing to fear, for they have the assurance of God's protection and the hope of eternal life.

Abraham's Bosom or the Grave

The death Dr Samuele Bacchiocchi will no doubt solicit glowing tributes from the misguided. But those who recognised his writings as heretical, will not lament his passing.

The doctor burst on to the scene in 1995, with the sole purpose of selling his baneful books to misguided and vulnerable people, seeking to escape the spiritual poison Tkach was feeding them. In fact, the doctor was like a vulture, hovering to pick at the dead carcases of the wicked! And there were and are plenty to pick at!

Will the doctor be taken by the angels into Abraham's bosom, or will he be burried like the rich man? A question that should send chills down the spines of the hirelings in cog-land!

However, the question now is: who is next?

A Sudden Volt-Face or the Status Quo?

Under the Latin phrase ad hominem, the following appears on the sidebar of AW blog: "While there is wide latitude on what appears under comments, abusive posts and name calling aimed at other posters will mean a quick trip to the trash folder." One wonders what has brought about this sudden volt-face by him who is without an original idea in his head, but delights in abusing and pouring scorn on anyone who doesn't share his irrational opinion that WCG under Mr. Armstrong was a dangerous cult.

Of course, the cabal of scoffers who coalesced around the AW blog, especially the foul mouthed Douglas and the depressed Dennis, will find this pretended road to Damascus experience quite chilling. As they love to wallow in and relish the opportunity to draw out of their reservoir of abuse, the vilest of expletives to hurl at anyone who doesn't agree with their insane opinions!

But as repentence cannot be contrived, this pretended road to Damascus experience must be seen for the sham it is.

The Lamentations of The Wicked

After treating the bible with contempt, and stupidly expressing doubt about Jesus' birth and the purity of his mother, Mary, the former hireling and now insane scoffer penned the following lamentation: "864 905 5804 still works really well after 7PM EST if you friendly types ever wish to chat. Since the ideal Xmas season is rather lonely in fact for me personally and circumstances less than Norman Rockwellish, it might be nice to talk and put a voice behind the names." Clear signs that he is running when no one is chasing him. But I can assure him and Douglas that they have not seen anything yet!

I can also assure him that although Gavin, in his folly, has supported his diatribe against Mr. Armstrong, and has condoned his abuse of Jesus by remaining silent, he will neither be calling the above number nor attending his funeral, when that dreaded day comes! Which will not be long in coming!!

As for the foul mouth Douglas, he will not be far behind. And Gavin will find it very uncomfortable to survive between a rock and a hard place.

The dogs and their vomit

The silly season of Christmas is here again, and the dogs that have returned to their own vomit are about to further disgrace themselves, if that is possible! The leading dog, who is afflicted with severe distemper and madness, recently vomited the following: "No critically thinking theologian or layman would ever be tempted to take the contradictory accounts of Jesus birth in Matthew and Luke literally true." Wow! How would a brute beast know what humans are capable of?

Of course, the leader of the the canine pact is not alone in returning to his own vomit, for he was joined by Charlie and others to eat their own vomit. How disgusting can one get!

Modern Religious Sentimentality

Modern religious sentimentality has been heavily influence by the resurgence of social and psychological theories, which became very fashionable in the 1950s. Simply put, these theories state that we must focus on the good in human nature, and that people's deviant behaviour derives from their social and psychological background. Therefore, people are not solely responsible for their rougery.

As a consequence, punishment for criminal behaviour should either be suspended or be used in conjunction with methods of rehabilitation. So, when dealing with criminal behaviour, the emphasis should be on forgiveness, compassion and mercy. At the same time, helping the guilty to understand and come to terms with the social and psychological factors that caused them to be any thing from petty criminals to malevolent psychopaths. And, of course, in this process very little thought is given to the feelings or sufferings of the victims.

This irrational mindset is very evident amongst the so-called churches of God, but it is not to be found in the pages of the bible. Most in the churches of God continue to make excuses for the behaviour of those who have sought to divide God's church, or fed themselves instead of the flock. The flock is supposed to understand the social and psychological conditions and factors that caused the ministers to betray God's people. The flock is expected to forgive, show compassion and extend mercy to those evil men who lied to them. At the same time, the pain and suffering of the flock is to be seen by them as God's way of testing their faith. Well, this mindset is pure religious sentimentality, and is a product of "the spirit of the world"(1 Cor. 2:12).

On the other hand, the mindset of the bible is that people are responsible for their actions, whether they are good or bad. And although God is love, he is also a God of justice. And he does not give any consideration to the social or psychological factors that influence those who breaks his laws. On the contrary, the history of Israel is replete with examples of God's attitude towards those who broke his laws. Those who repeatedly ignored his warnings to repent and turn from their godless ways, suffered the most dreadful of consequences.

So for hireling "ministers" to emphasise God's mercy to the exclusion of his justice is to lull people into a false sense of security.

The madness of the false prophet

I predicted that as a result of Obama being elected president of the US, there would be a prophetic frenzy. Well, I did not have to wait long for Don. Billingsley to twist the Scriptures to try and prove that the American people made a mistake in electing Obama as their 44th president. Billingsley cited a passage from Deuteronomy to try and prove his contention. The passage, which was not fully quoted, runs as follows: "When you come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shall possess it, and shall dwell therein, and shall say, I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are about me; Thou shall in any wise set him king over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shall thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother"(Duet.17:14-15).

Firstly, this was a prophecy, which was fulfilled during the leadership of Samuel. The elders of Israel came to Samuel and requested a king thus: "Behold thou are old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations"(1 Sam. 8:5). And as a consequence, God appointed Saul the first king of Israel.

Secondly, the command to Israel not set a stanger over them as a leader was only applicable under the old covenant, and while the nation was established in the promise land. After both Israel and Judah were taken captive and scattered among many nations, God allowed many Gentile kings to rule over them.

Thirdly, after the death and resurrection of Christ, the old covenant was abolished. "The Israel of God" is now the church, where there is neither Jew nor Gentile, but a new spiritual creation in Christ. So God can appoint anyone he chooses to be an elder in his church, whether the person is white or black.

Fourthly, the people of the US voted, but God decided who would win the election, as all power is of God, and the powers that be are ordained of God. So is Billingsley saying that he disagree with God's decision?

Fifthly, the bible teaches that Christ is not divided, yet Billingsley left WCG, and contrary to the clear teachings of the bible, went off and set up his own church "to draw away disciple after him." Funny how Billingsley can find a text that supposedly says Obama was wrongly elected, but can't find any that says he is a hireling and a heretic!

Obama and The Prophetic Frenzy

The election of Obama as president of the US is, with out doubt, an epoch making event. Of course, all power is of God: "The powers that be, are ordained of God." So even though some in the US and around the world may believe that Obama's election to the highest office in the land is a testimony to the social progress the US has made, those who are much wiser, will see the hand of God guiding events in the fulfillment of prophecy. So where Obama's presidency will lead is yet to become clear, but the omens are not good!

However, expect the false prophets in cog-land to be transported into a frenzy of speculations and predictions. Every familiar biblical text will be poured over and reinterpreted to explained why God has allowed a half Israelite to become the head of his people, and why this is bound to be a disaster.

Still, genuine Christians neither vote nor support anyone running for elected office, as Christ is their Lord and soon coming king. But we are commanded to watch world events, and to be like men that wait for their Lord.

The Fate of Lazarus or the Rich Man?

The following appeared on The Journal web site just before the Feast of Tabernacles, "According to early reports, Mr. McNair, a 1953 graduate of Ambassador College, Pasadena, and an early evangelist in the Radio/Worldwide Church of God, died after an illness that had lasted about two and one half years. He had suffered with prostate cancer." Of course, the death of God's people are precious in his sight, for, like Lazarus, they are taken by the angels into Abraham's bosom. So what about Mr.McNair, will his fate be that of the rich man's or Lazarus'?

Well, the last ten years of McNair's life do not suggest that he will be enjoying the same blessings as Lazarus. In 1998, he was a co-conspirator in hijacking the Global church from under the nose of Dr. Meredith. Later he wrote to LCG members asking for money to pay off the debts incurred when he and the gang of three hijacked Global.

The Journal added: "Mr. McNair in recent years was founder and president of the Church of God 21st Century, headquartered in the San Diego area." Well, anyone who starts his own church is an obvious heretic. For the only church that genuine Christians should be members of is the church of God, which is the spiritual body of Christ.

However, I expect tributes to start pouring in, stating what a wonderful person McNair was, and that he will be in the kingdom of God.

Another Hireling Jumped Ship

After Ron King, the hirling director of Living Church of God UK, announced that John Meakin jumped from David Hulme's shipwreck to join LCG drifting barge, King went on to say, "Mr. Meakin is a minister of thirty-three years’ experience in the United Kingdom and will be serving as Area Pastor in the south of England, including London. He has experience in editorial work and we look forward to receiving his help in this area."

Well, unless Meakin is bringing most of his existing docile laity with him, there won't be much for him to pastor. For LCG congregation in London consists of about 10 people when everyone is in attendance, and in the unspecified South, there may be 6 people, who can't tell their right hand from their left.

Among Hulme's discredited UK "ministry," or should that be hirelings, Meakin is probably respected and might even be admired by many of his fellow hirelings. So his departure just before the Feast will send shock waves through those who are still clinging to the wreckage, hoping to be rescued.

His departure will also be seen by some as a hideous act of treachery and betrayal. But they are just reaping what they sowed. In 1995, Hulme's hirelings, including Meakin, sold the brethren for what was called a financial package, but what God inspired Jeremiah to call a bribe!

My former "pastor" and local elder, who are the most contemptible of men, will be on the phone to discuss the implications of Meakin's treachery. And like unscrupulous, contemptible politicians, they will begin to position themselves to occupy the vacancy created by Meakin's departure. But they will have to fight Rapson, who sees himself as a biblical scholar, trained in the Meredith school of theology. What a laugh!

Of course, God is not real to any of these people. If he was, they would never behave in such a deceitful and deplorable manner. For they would remember the words of the Chosen Vessel, when he says, "Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

What? Christian women and cancer!

Every year hundreds of COG women die of breast, cervical or bowel cancers. A brief scan of any COG pray list will reveal the number of distressing cases of cancer amongst COG women and, sadly, the majority will be dead within 12 months, and the rest within 5 years. For you can be certain that God will not heal them. Those who don't die from gynecological related cancers, suffer the indignity of having their wombs removed to protect their damaged health, or are crippled by osteoporosis.

Yet, you never hear any of the hirelings in cog-land addressing this tragedy from the pulpit, or in their inane publications. One would have thought that the grieving husbands would want answers to why their wives contracted a fatal disease, and despite all the pray and "fasting" God didn't heal their wives.

For years in WCG, we sang: "Children are the gift of God, and the fruit of the womb is his reward," and then proceeded to erect barriers against receiving his gifts and denying him his reward. The main barrier erected by so-called Christian women, under the guise of family planning, is the contraceptive pill. Of course, there are other barriers, which have destructive side effects, but the pill is the most destructive to women's health and longevity of life.

The pill does not only prevent conception, it also triggers an abortion if conception occurs before the egg reaches the womb. If conceptions take place, the chemical reactions in the body spring into action to support the pregnancy, and prepare for the birth of the baby. Messages are sent from the brain to the mammary glands to start producing milk to feed the baby.

A few days or weeks later, the whole process is disrupted by the pill triggering an abortion of the gift of God. How despicable? It is impossible to fully understand the impact such an event has on a so-called Christian woman's body. The mammary glands are forced to abort the production of milk, and all the other organs that were activated to support the pregnancy go into shock!

The medium to long term consequences for so-called Christian women, who want to be like the women of the world, is hysterectomies, cancers of the cervix, breast, bowel, stomach or being crippled by osteoporosis - with ultimate exclusion from the kingdom of God, followed by eternal punishment. What a tragedy!!

Will Jesus be at your Feast site?

In the next few weeks many of the hirelings that preside over the hundreds of divided groups in cog-land, will be gathering in various locations around the world to celebrate what they misguidedly think is the Feast of Tabernacles. But the burning question is this, will Christ be attending with them, or will they just be on holiday?

In the UK, the two major groups are UCG and David Hulme's COG. Now it should be evident to any genuine Christian that Jesus won't be attending with these. David Hulme and the discredited UK "ministry" failed to speak out against Tkach's doctrinal changes. In fact, they advised the brethren to stay with WCG while they were planning to leave and join UCG, hoping that when the brethren realised what was going on they would follow them like dumb sheep, which is exactly what happened! What duplicity.

Some three years later, when Hulme was removed for misleading UCG, he conspired with most of the UK hirelings to hijack UCG, UK membership, and then proceeded to start his own church. Yet there isn't one single example in the New Testament of any Apostle ever leaving his fellow Apostles to start his own church, and still be regarded as a genuine minister of Christ.

On the contrary, Paul was inspired to emphasize the unity of Christ thus: "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment"(1 Cor. 1:10). Now, it should be evident to anyone who has not been completely deceived by the Devil, that the hundreds of divided groups in cog-land do not speak "the same thing," and they certainly are not "perfectly joined together in the same mind and judgment" about anything. Yet, the Holy Spirit of truth, who infallibly inspired the the Holy Scriptures, told the brethren that they must be "endeavouring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace"(Eph. 4:3). So how can men who claimed to be led by the holy spirit end up fighting amongst themselves, instead of obeying the command of God to preserve the unity of the spirit among themselves? The answer is very simple, they don't have the spirit of God. And anyone who doesn't have the spirit of Christ, doesn't belong Christ, and therefore cannot keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Under the New Testament dispensation Jesus revealed that the Christian body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, where God dwells. And Paul confirms thus: "Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwells in you?"(1 Cor. 3:16).

This is a sublime doctrine, which cannot be understood by those who are motivated by money and power. So I am not sure that I should waste my time writing a detailed exposition of the relationship between the Tabernacle in the wilderness and the Christian body. Suffice to say, you can be absolutely sure that no one in UCG, LCG, PCG, RCG, David Hulme's COG or any of the other hundreds of divided groups, led by hirelings, will be keeping the Feast with Christ, because they are not the temple of God!

The inanity of it all

Monday 1 September. While at Mizpah waiting for news of the destruction of the wicked, and preparing for the Feast of Tabernacles, I torn myself away from these weighty matters to look in on AW blog. When I thought that things couldn't get any worse I was sadly mistaken. The moderator, no doubt, by popular request has reverted to poking fun at Ron Wieland. Wow! How intellectually stimulating!

I also note that Corky has posted a picture of himself dressed in either his pajamas or his prison attire. I wonder who wears his proper clothes? Anyway, I hope no one is so crazy as to send Corky to prison, as he will poison the minds of the guards against the teaching of Jesus, and in no time they will be all atheists, with no belief in the punishment of the wicked!

However, there are indications that Dennis and Douglas are beginning to feel the wrath of God, and that Richard may not be able to contact me if news of their destruction should reach him before it reaches me!

Still, I will remain at Mizpah until time to depart for the Feast.

1)Douglas Becker of the Painful Truth posted derogatory comments about Gavin Rumney, host of Ambassador Watch Blog, and attributed them to me by using my name. His purpose was to get Gavin to ban me from the blog, which Gavin did without any investigation into whether the comments were made by me or not. So much for justice!

A few days latter Douglas posted the following to AW blog, "it should be a chilling indictment against those who sign their false prophecies in Jesus' Name." There is no "should" about it! Anyone using Jesus' name to promote heretical opinions will suffer the consequences!

But what about those who defame other people's names to promote lies and slander, because their abusive comments were ignored? I shudder to think of the consequences, for your own words will come back to haunt you for all eternity!

2)On Sunday morning I visited AW blog and discovered the following additional blasphemy from Dennis Diehl, a former hireling with WCG: "Paul was also a false prophet by OT standards. One can also make the case that the "Jesus OF THE GOSPELS" and the first few verses of Revelation, was also wrong, but we can pass on that for now."

I must admit that Dennis' comments have had the same distressing impact on me as comments made by David John Hill in The Journal, two or three years ago, poking fun at Mr. Armstrong and bragging about his nepotism towards his wife. After reading Hill's comments, I was writing a letter to The Journal to express my outrage and disgust, when word reached me that Hill had suddenly died!

Later, Dennis added this foolish but bold assertion: "There is no knowing the future." Well, I won't be writing to Gavin to express my outrage and disgust, as he appears happy to accept and entertain blasphemous comments on his blog, but I expect word to reach me that Dennis has suffered the same fate as David John Hill!

On my way from Mizpah to Tabor, I looked in on AW blog and discovered, as expected, that Dennis and Douglas are now terrified to attach their names to any of the inane comments they often make. Could it be they are beginning to run though no one is pursuing them? Could it be that they are beginning to be afraid at the shaking of a leaf? Could it be they are like the man who ran into a house from a bear, only to put his hand upon a serpent? Could it be they are being tormented by the fear of God's impending judgment?

6) Wednesday 16th July. While I was in the house of mercy I viewed AW blog to see what was being reflected on, but once again, there were no reflections! The host appears to be trawling the web for any scrap of bad news about the Cogs, posting it, and then waiting for a tirade of inane comments from forum members. If that is what is called reflection, then madness should be called sanity!

However, I note that the two Ds are still terrified to attach their names to the inane and incoherent comments they make, not that they are alone in hiding in the shadows or making stupid comments. Still, one of the Ds is now calling himself Mark Lax. Wow! How original! I wonder who he thinks he is fooling?

The other D, who is often in a "black mood," have reverted to the original title of Anonymous! Wow! How riveting?

7) Sunday July 20th. A very brave guy, calling himself Jason, who has no surname, sent me an abusive post claiming he was the person who posted the derogatory comments about Gavin to AW blog. Then he accused me of being a coward. Well, at least I am coward enough to attach my name to all of my comments, and don't impersonate other people to slander their name.

8) Thursday 24th July. While at Mizpah watching for the destruction of the wicked, I looked in on AW blog and discovered that Dennis Diehl is brazenly, but foolishly, continuing his vituperation of Christ and the church he has founded.

Still, Dennis' behaviour is not surprising, though it deserves pity. For the infallible authority of the divine Scriptures described him thus: "The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."

Well, being PC correct and culturally sensitive are not the same as being objective and impartial, which are two elements of justice.

While I was busy taking my daughters to piano lessons, a deceiver used my name to post comments on Ambassador Watch Blog. Comments that would never enter my head.

However, I believe his purpose was to get Gavin to ban me from the forum. Well, he has succeeded! But his success will be very short lived, because his lies, deceit and incessant abuse will bring swift destruction upon him.

Q & A - The Definition of A Hireling

"Can you name even one current or former wcg minister who was not a hireling, in your opinion? "

Firstly, I don't have an opinion about who is a hireling. All I do is examined the definition and the described behaviour of a hireling in the bible, and then see whose behaviour fits the definition. Now to answer your question. Regrettably, all the ministers I have known and worked with, behaviour fits the definition of a hireling. The bible describes the behaviour of a hireling thus: "But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the the sheep." Now all we have to do to determine which ministers are hirelings, is to see who ran away and who didn't. All the ministers, including local elders, in the UK left the flock and ran away to join UCG, hoping that the flock would follow after them. Not one of them stood up at the lectern, and told the brethren not to drink the spiritual poison Mr. Tkach was feeding the sheep. They simply placed their financial security before the spiritual welfare of God's people, for whom Christ died.

However, knowing the terror of the Lord, I shudder to think of of the consequences of their betrayal of God's people. For I know him, who says, "Judgment is mine says the Lord, I will repay."

John's narrative continues: "The hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep." In other words, the hireling is in it for the money. His love for the sheep is just a pretense!

So all the sermons these men gave about love and concern for God's people were nothing but "hogwash," to use the vulgar term. They were all hirelings, motivated by money and power.

That is not how the Apostles behaved. In midst of savage, brutal and cruel persecutions, they didn't fail to preach the gospel of man's salvation, and lay down their lives for the people of God. And their heroic deeds, wish has won them praises even amongst those who are unwilling or unable to imitate them, they attributed to the grace of God, which made them fearless in the presence of their insane and malevolent enemies.

If you know any ministers that spoke out against Tkach's heresy, because their primary concern was spiritual welfare of God's elect, please let me have their names?

Hirelings or shepherds, which?

While I was at Mizpah preparing for Pentecost, on AW blog, I was being reviled by Dennis and Kscribe, in particular, for explaining what the bible teaches about pretended ministers, who are actually hirelings.

Well, I didn't invent the term hireling, it was Jesus. Note what he says: "But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep"(John 10:12). Where are the sheep today, if not scattered, and have become prey for discredited men who have started their own churches? And why have the sheep been scattered? The answer should be obvious to anyone who has not been struck by supernatural blindness. It is because those who were once called ministers were actually hirelings. Again, note what Jesus, not Tom Mahon, says: "the hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep"(John 10:13). By definition, the hireling works for money. So when things get difficult in one job, the hireling runs away and finds a new employer. On the other hand, the shepherd sees his calling as a vocation, and is willing to work for nothing on earth because the glory of the Lord is his reward.

Now let us contrast the behaviour of a hireling with that of a shepherd thus: "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep"(John 10:11). The hireling runs away, but the shepherd is willing to die for the sheep. That is what Jesus teaches, and I agree with him. And note what John was also inspired to write: "Hereby we perceive the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we OUGHT to lay down our lives for the brethren"(1 John 3:16). The term ought denotes the duty that love demands from those who claim to possess the nature and character of Christ, who is the good shepherd.

In addition, Paul's admonition to the ministry was this: "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit have made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood"(Acts 20:28). But instead of WCG ministry feeding the church, they fed themselves and took a financial package from Mr. Tkach to betray the flock. How despicable can people be? But I shudder to think of the consequences of their treachery!

A former hireling by the name of Dennis Diehl, who by stealth climbed up some other way instead of coming through the door, which is Christ, was mistakenly ordained a minister in WCG. Sadly, he never understood or possessed the character of a true minister. In Paul's second Pastoral Epistle to the Corinthians, he reminded the ministry that God is the one who enables them to be ministers thus: "our sufficiency is of God; who also has made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit"(11 Cor. 3:5-6). The word "able" means that they have the knowledge and character to hold such an exalted office, and are capable of teaching the things of the spirit, as their "sufficiency is of God."

Paul then proceeded to outlined four fundamental character traits to be found in true ministers of Christ thus: "Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; but (1) have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, (2) not walking in craftiness, (3) nor handling the word of God deceitfully, (4) but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God"(11 Cor. 4:1-2).

Well, did Dennis or any of the other hirelings that were "ministers" in WCG, ever "renounced the hidden things of dishonesty?" They spent a lot of time denouncing dishonesty in other people, but as for "renouncing" it in themselves, NEVER! If the widespread merchandising of the deluded people in cog-land is anything to go by, then, dishonesty is the order of the day.

What about "not walking in craftiness?" Anyone who was around the ministry in WCG or in cog-land today could write a book on the "craftiness" of most ministers, including their deceitful misrepresentation of the word of God and their lying to the brethren, either by commission or omission. Their motto was and is, "We reveal things on a need to know basis, and we decide who needs to know." What deceitfulness!

Dennis is now an expert in psychological babble. So his analysis of my exposure of Gavin's 17 pages of drivel, on what Gavin thinks is an intellectual exposition of the authorship of the Pastoral Epistles, is described as "pain body." I suppose when one falls from grace any nonsense appears attractive and alluring.

The Pastoral Epistles?

One of the leading scoffers at AW blog has published 17 pages of incoherent nonsense, claiming it is an extract from a 3000 word essay on the Pastoral Epistles of first and second Timothy and Titus. He referenced a long list of so-called scholars, who disagree or are unsure of the date the epistles were written, the author of them or whether the prose is that of the Apostle Paul, or some other unknown author. He no doubt cites these erudite scholars because he presumes or thinks that they are qualified to comment on the veracity of the scriptures. Then again, their names may have been on a university designated reading list, where the dumb sheep are led to be sacrificed on the altar of ignorance.

Well, AW's leading scoffer will be surprised to learn that all the epistles in the NT are pastoral epistles, as they were all written and sent to ministers of the various church congregations, then extant in Greece and Asia. And that the singling out of Timothy and Titus as pastoral epistles, was done by grubby scholars, who were and are hostile to the revelation given to Paul, as it undermines their conception of Christianity as an attack on Judaism.

The internal Evidence

A careful and impartial reading of of the epistles to Timothy and Titus will show that they could not have been written by any other person but Paul. In the opening salutation to first Timothy, the writer addressed him as, "my own son in the faith." This is because Timothy was taught and ordained by Paul. And just before Paul's death, Timothy was appointed as Paul's successor(11 Tim. 4:1-3).

Paul first met Timothy at Lystra, during his second missionary journey. He choose Timothy to travel with him in preaching the gospel(Acts16:1-3).

Much Ado About Nothing!

Predicting the end of the world on a specific date makes one an easy target for ridicule, as Ron Wieland has painfully discovered. But predicting the end of the world is not new, for since the beginning of the Christian era, over zealous, misguided people have been predicting the end of the world. Ron Wieland is just another addition to the clan, and there will be many more before the world actually ends. As a consequent of Ron's failed predictions, the regular posters at AW Blog, including its erudite host, who fancies himself as a budding scholar, have been fulminating against the deranged predictions of Ron Wieland, a former WCG minister.

However, the people who tend to be leading the pack in pouring scorn on false prophets are usually completely ignorant of the teachings of the bible. They tend to argue that because all previous predictions have failed to come to pass, there are no end time prophecies in the bible. One is tempted to call their conclusion a failure of logic, but that would be to credit them with a logically mind, instead of being afflicted with supernatural blindness.

Still, God's former servant, Herbert W. Armstrong, who outlined many end time prophecies, which are currently being fulfilled and can be seen by those whose eyes are opened, has also been derided by the cabal of scoffers at Ambassador Watch Blog. Yet Mr. Armstrong's explanation of the end time prophecy of the breaking of the pride the US's and Britain's power is currently being fulfilled in Iraq and Afghanistan. For the past five years a ragtag, ill equipped "army," without access to satellite technology, helicopter gunships, tanks, strike aircraft, stealth bombers or guided bombs, has remained undefeated by the world's greatest super power! If the fiasco in Iraq and Afghanistan is not the breaking of the pride of the US's and Britain's power, then, I don't know what is or will be the breaking of it!

But the bloggers at AW are too blind to focus on the reality of what is happening under their noses. They prefer to poke fun at Ron Wieland, which methinks is much ado about nothing!

False compassion

Modern religious sentimentality has been heavily influenced by the resurgence of social and psychological theories, which were fashionable in the 1950s. Simply put, these theories state that we must focus on the good in in human nature, and that people's deviant behaviour derives from their social and psychological background. Therefore, the are not solely responsible for their misdemeanors.

As a consequence, punishment for criminal behaviour should either be suspended or be used in conjunction with methods of rehabilitation. So when dealing with criminal behaviour, the emphasis should be on forgiveness, compassion and mercy. At the same time helping the guilty to understand and come to terms with the social and psychological factors that caused them to be any thing from petty criminals to malevolent psychopaths. And, of course, in this process very little thought is given to the victims.

This mindset is very evident among the so-called churches of God, but is not to found in the pages of the bible. Most in the churches of God, continue to makes excuses for the behaviour of the hirelings who have sought to divide God's church, or fed themselves instead of the flock. The flock is supposed to understand the social and psychological factors that caused the hirelings to abandon them. The flock is expected to forgive, show compassion and extend mercy to those who lied to them and betrayed them for money!

At the same time, the pain and suffering of the flock is to be seen by them as God's way of testing their faith. Well, this mindset is pure religious sentimentality, and is a product of the "spirit of the world."

On the other hand, the mindset of the bible is that people are responsible for their actions, whether good or bad. And although God is love, he is also a God of justice: and he does not give any consideration to the social and psychological factors that influence those who break his laws. On the contrary, the history of Israel, which was written for our learning, is replete with examples of God's attitude towards those who ignored his warnings and repeatedly broke his laws.

So to emphasise God's mercy to the exclusion of his justice, is to lull people into a false sense of security. A careful study of the teachings of Paul will show that he was very careful to warn the ministry and the churches to "walk worthy of the vocation with which they were called." So those hirelings who betrayed God's people for filthy lucre, will suffer the wrath of God, whatever the social or psychological factors that influenced their treachery!
