I am at the Feast of Tabernacles, in Paignton, Devon. The weather has been glorious sunshine.
The theme of the Feast is sanctification. That is not Tom's opinion! It is
what God says. Sadly, The Worldwide Church of God never understood the
meaning of the Feast, and the divided groups, such UCG, LCG, RCG, PCG,
COG/Hulme and all the other splinters, that hurt people, are also
ignorant of the meaning of the Feast. But the divided groups are
assembled in various locations around the
world, solely to collect money from deceived people, who can't tell
their right hand from their left; while the evil men that are laughingly
called "ministers of Christ" talk nonsense.
I turned up outside GCI/WCG services, and two men were standing outside
chatting. They remarked that I was late for services. When I told
them that I don't attend services with GCI/WCG because of the heretical
doctrinal changes introduced into the church by Tkach, they said they had
just walked out of services because of the nonsense the minister was preaching. One of them asked me for my name, and when I told him, Tom
Mahon. He asked trembling, "Are you Tom?" Then he added, "we are not
supposed to talk to you." I told him, I know, the hireling ministers of
the divided groups hate me, because I am exposing their wickedness.
However, we had a long chat about the madness of some of the various groups, and they think that over 50% of WCG members disagree with the doctrinal changes, and that includes many of the so-called ministers, such as Robin Jones, Francis Bergin and David Silcox. But none has the courage to tell the congregation that the doctrinal changes are spiritual poisons.
After services, I went into the meeting hall, for no one would dare ask me to leave, and had conversations with various people. Some were delighted to see me, and others thought, "Here comes trouble." Some commented that I still looked the same as I did 20 years ago. I told them that God looks after me.
Sadly, many GCI/WCG members are now very infirm, and suffering from many debilitating illnesses. I think they still anoint people, but as God is not among them, no one is ever healed. Yet King David was inspired to write: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases"(Ps.103:2-3). Yet, no one among these divided groups is ever healed, but they are all too deceived to ask, why not?
This unfolding tragedy has caused me more grief that anything else I have experienced. May it soon be over.
An Addendum
On Wednesday afternoon, I once again wondered down to GCI/WCG meeting hall, and Phil Halford, who operates and supervises the sound system, was sitting with Bob Millman, an American, who is an ordained minister in GCI. I greeted Phil, and facetiously said, I am late for the bible study, which had been conducted by David Silcox.
Phil and I started chatting, and he began to lament the fact that the Autumn Festival is no longer called The Feast of Tabernacles, and GCI is now teaching a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday morning resurrection. I told him that these heretical doctrinal changes emerged out of the Satanic, deranged mind of Joe junior.
While we were chatting, a rather untidy man walked into the hall, and said he was depressed and suicidal. After a few exchanges, Bod Millman advised the man to see a doctor. I asked the man if he was a Christian, and he said yes. I told him, "you don't need a doctor; you need to be anointed." Then I asked him, "What can a doctor do that Jesus can't do." The man was speechless!
But Bob Millman, who is a rotund, obese man of about 280lbs, jumped up and said: "I have listened to enough of your nonsense. You called our leader (Joe junior) mad." I asked him, "Are you attacking me?" He decline to answer that question, but went on to say: "The doors swing both ways." Which meant, I should leave!
But I had no intention of leaving! So I told him, "You have made many mistakes in your life, but attacking me is the gravest mistake you have ever made, for if my angel is sent from the presence of my father, you may not leave this hall alive." He sat down, and asked: "Are you predicting my demise?" I was prophesying his imminent destruction!
