The Fate of Lazarus or the Rich Man?

The following appeared on The Journal web site just before the Feast of Tabernacles, "According to early reports, Mr. McNair, a 1953 graduate of Ambassador College, Pasadena, and an early evangelist in the Radio/Worldwide Church of God, died after an illness that had lasted about two and one half years. He had suffered with prostate cancer." Of course, the death of God's people are precious in his sight, for, like Lazarus, they are taken by the angels into Abraham's bosom. So what about Mr.McNair, will his fate be that of the rich man's or Lazarus'?

Well, the last ten years of McNair's life do not suggest that he will be enjoying the same blessings as Lazarus. In 1998, he was a co-conspirator in hijacking the Global church from under the nose of Dr. Meredith. Later he wrote to LCG members asking for money to pay off the debts incurred when he and the gang of three hijacked Global.

The Journal added: "Mr. McNair in recent years was founder and president of the Church of God 21st Century, headquartered in the San Diego area." Well, anyone who starts his own church is an obvious heretic. For the only church that genuine Christians should be members of is the church of God, which is the spiritual body of Christ.

However, I expect tributes to start pouring in, stating what a wonderful person McNair was, and that he will be in the kingdom of God.

I am sure that Mr McNair will not make it into the kingdom because as we all know you are the only person that will ever have that honor

Why are there so many anonymous people in the world?

Anyway, all God's children will be in his kingdom. But anyone who started or starts his own church, or was once a member of the church of God, but subsequently denied Christ and betrayed his brothers by his selfish or cowardly behaviour will not be in God's kingdom.

I suppose it was just typical of Tom Mahon to come up with yet another offensive comment or at least insensitive at the very least. Rather than having mercy and forgiveness, it seems you want to hold on to past perceived sins and grudges.

Has it ever occurred to you that if you cannot get along with God's people now, what hope will you have for eternity? Your presence in God's kingdom will be divisive, filled with insults at other family members and constant reminders of past mistakes. It seems to me you are digging for yourself a pit in hell. But there, is still time to REPENT and seek God with all your heart and to learn to LOVE people with all of their mistakes!

Are you calling the truth offensive or insensitive? The truth is often hated by those who do evil, but it is loved by who do good.

You obviously don't understand how mercy operates. Anyone who betrays God's people, conspires to rob them and then departs to start his own church is beyond mercy. That is not my opinion, it is the teaching of the bible, you may be surprised to learn!

Where are the people of God that I can't get along with? If you are of the misguided opinion that the people who are members of UCG, Hulmes'COG, LCG, PCG, RCG and all the other religious, divided groups in cog-land are the people of God, then you obviously believe that Christ is divided and God is the author of confusion.

For it is evident to anyone that these groups fight one another for members and their money, and are completely divided on doctrine. Plus, when it suits the hireling ministers, they hop from one group to another. Yet, you think they are God's ministers, and will be in his kingdom! You have to be joking!!

God's people, are supposed to live together in unity, believing and speaking the same things! These are the people that I am able to get along with, you may be pleased to learn!
