Revelation, Enlightenment and Verbal Inspiration

 I have written briefly on the allegory of Galatians 4. But I will return to the subject and explain the New Covenant, as represented by the free woman, Sarah, and her son, Isaac. 

However, before returning to the allegory, I want to bring to the attention of those who have ears to hear, another mystery of God. Those who failed to understand this mystery, the bible, for them, will remain a sealed document.

As is usual with the Chosen Vessel, he often introduces mysteries that were concealed in the Old Testament, by saying, "It is written." Here is a similar example thus: But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have it entered into the heart of man, the things that God has prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them to us by his spirit (1 Cor.2:9-10):

The question that screams at us for an answer is this: who are the people that love God? For Jesus says, "He that has my commandments, and keep them, he it is that love me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my father, and I will love him and manifest myself unto him (John 14:21). 

That statement rules out an army of people, who pay lip service to keeping the commandments of God, and that was and is primarily true of the hireling ministry, who were and are nothing more than duplicitous politicians.That behaviour makes them carnally minded, and therefore unable to understand the allegory of Galatians 4, why Paul was in continual sorrow or what God has prepared for those that love him.

However, after using the analogy of the inscrutability of the human mind by others, to illustrate that God's mind is also inscrutable, and we can only know the things of God, if he reveals them to us by his spirit: Paul says, "We  have received, not the spirit of the world (of course, the spirit of the world is the devil), but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are feely given to us of God (1Cor.2:12). Thereby, the Christian moves from revelation to enlightenment. That is, "The eyes of their understanding being enlightened ;(Eph.2:13-18).

Of course, those that have not received the spirit of God, the revelations of the spirit of God are foolishness unto them, because they are carnally minded (1 Cor.2:14).

Next, Paul moves to verbal inspiration thus: "Which things we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches:(1Cor.2:13). From the divine vocabulary, the Holy Spirit chooses the words to enable the writer or speaker to explain what God has revealed to him. Hence, "All scripture is given by the inspiration of God" That is wonderfully sublime.

In contrast, note the phrase, "Not in the words which man's wisdom teaches." Man's wisdom is derived from empiricism, which is based on assumptions, conjectures, surmises and speculations, all leading to erroneous conclusions. The gods of science usually invent a vocabulary, designed to hide their ignorance and blind the public. For example, what the bible calls fear, the gods of science call "anxiety:" without understanding or defining what it means

Today, when any of our leaders, and especially scientists, open their mouths to speak, they invariably begin with phrases, such as,  "I think, I believe, in my opinion, the evidence indicates, the assessment is, etc., etc. Which means, we are ignorant. Plus, the Chosen Vessel was inspired to write: "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent(1 cor.1:19).

Yet, people who claimed to believe in God, have more faith in medical science than in the healing power of Jesus Christ. Ye, it doesn't matter how many drugs  are given to the sick, they never get better. In fact, the side effects of the drugs often hasten their death.

Today, we have millions of people in care homes, on every medication under heaven, yet not a single person ever leave a care home alive. Yet, every morning people march up to the temple of the gods of science to pay homage: often leaving awe struck at the latest promise of rejuvenated health, which never occurs.

If this madness was scripted in Hollywood, people would fall about laughing.

All Israel Shall Be Saved.

The Chosen Vessel, as he was loving called by his Lord and master, Jesus Christ (Acts 9:15) is writing one his most recondite and sublime Epistle to the Romans. The Epistle is replete with doctrines; not a single word of exhortation is written, until chapter twelve.

Sadly, this Epistle, like Ephesians and many other Epistles, were sealed documents in WCG. None of the hireling ministry ever understood the Epistles of Paul.

In this post I want to examine and elucidate a concern the Chosen Vessel expressed about the children of Israel. He began by saying: "I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit. That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish (and we have to add, had it been possible. For only Jesus can die for redemption of God's elect) that myself were accursed from Christ, for my brethren, my kinsmen, according to the flesh (Rom.9:1-2):

The question that demands an answer is this: If all Israel shall be saved (Rom.11:26), why would the Chosen Vessel (had it been possible) be willing to sacrifice his salvation for the salvation of his kinsmen, according to the flesh?

Understanding the phrase, "according to the flesh," is essential to understanding, why the Chosen Vessel was in "great heaviness and continual sorrow?" Of course, King Solomon was inspired to write: "He that increases knowledge, increases sorrow." The Chosen Vessel understood that there are two Israels, one according to the flesh, and the other according to the spirit. The Israel, according to the flesh, is destined for destruction. They are called, "vessels of wrath, fitted to destruction (Rom.9:22).  and that made Paul very sad, especially knowing that they were his kinsmen.

To begin to understand this deep, sublime mystery, one has to be able to understand the allegory of Galatians 4:22-31.

The allegory begins, "For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bond-maid, the other by a free woman."  The free woman, Sarai, despairing of being able to have a child, pleaded with Abraham, her husband, to go in unto Hagar, and make her pregnant (Gen.16:1-4).

The son conceived, and born from the relationship, was Ishmael, and is described in the allegory, as a child according to the flesh.

In the allegory,  Hagar, represents the old covenant, given from mount Saini, and administered from the earthly Jerusalem, who is in bondage with her children, that were born according to the flesh.

Sarai told Abraham. "Cast out the bond woman and her son; for the son of bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free women." 

That means, cast out the old Jerusalem, Hagar, and her children; the old covenant and its rituals, which were performed by the Levitical priests.

The casting out occurred at resurrection of Jesus. The abolition of the Levitical priesthood occurred at the same time. On the day of Pentecost, the new covenant was implemented, and the heavenly Jerusalem began to give birth to her children. Hence, the quotation from Isiah thus: "Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break (in the allegory, Sarah represented as the barren that did not bear) barren forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate (Hagar) has many more children than she that has a husband.

The Chosen Vessel, a man endowed with exceedingly great wisdom, anticipated the question that most thinking people would ask: "Is there unrighteousness with God (Rom.9:14). For God choose Isaac instead of Ishmael, and Jacob instead of Esau, and that decision was made in eternity, and was revealed in the dispensation of the fullness of time. Paul's initial reply to the question is, God forbid. But then he proceeded to prove by pure, logical deduction, that God cannot be unrighteous. The basis for that process of reasoning is contained in the analogy of God being the master potter. where the question is asked: "Can the thing formed say to him that formed it, why has thou made me thus" (Rom.9:21?" Well, you can ask the question, but are you justified in asking it?

When pure reason led Paul to the proof that God cannot be unrighteous, his exclamation of wonder is recorded here (Rom.11:33-36).

Without Love, Part 2

The Epistle to the Ephesians is one of the most recondite, profound and sublime epistle of Paul.  He considered himself particularly privilege to be chosen by God to write the mystery, which from the beginning of the world was hidden in God.  For the Chosen Vessel, writing from prison, and trembling with humility, said, "Unto me, who am the less than the least of all saints is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ" (Eph.3:8). Sadly this epistle was a sealed document among the hireling ministers, that were in WCG.  

The epistle begins with greetings to the saints, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus. Who were the faithful in Christ Jesus? The Chosen Vessel then mentioned the doctrine election, which takes us back to the allegory of Jacob and Esau (Rom.9:10-11). Then he referred to predestination, adoption and redemption.  Doctrines that were never understood in WCG.

After establishing that the church was a church in which the love of God was evident, he wrote: "Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: That the God of our Lord Jesus, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints..." (Eph.1: 15-18). This pray will not be answered on behalf of anyone who does not have the holy spirit of love.

The great Apostle, from his prison cell, continued his pray by saying,  "For this cause, (what cause is that?) I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; (The next request must be fulfilled in the Christian life, for it to be worth living).  The pray continues, "That you being rooted and grounded in love...

What does it mean to be "rooted and grounded in love?" Simply stated, it means to dwell in God, and God in you (1 John 4: 13). . Being rooted and grounded in love is a prerequisite for comprehending what comes next.

You "May be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breath, and the length, and the depth, and the height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God" (Eph.3:18-19).

What is this cube that he described as have breath, length, depth and height? Simply stated, it is the heavenly Jerusalem or Sion, the wife of Christ, the mother of all true Christians (Rev.21:2). Isn't that astonishing?  

Also, if the saints are being asked to comprehend the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, what is it that the saints are comprehending?  Aurelius commenting on this text in the fourth contrary, rightly concluded, that the saints were comprehending the incomprehensibility of the love of Christ. And if one has comprehended the incomprehensibility of anything, one has fully understood it.

That logic may escape the hirelings, but nonetheless, it is true.

Finally, the Chosen Vessel summed up the horror of the human condition and actions, without the motivation of the love of God.  If our actions are devoid of God's love, we "become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal" (1 Cor. 13: 1). It may be a beautiful tune we are making, but it profits us nothing.

Without Love, We Are Nothing,

 The Chosen Vessel, in his Epistle to the Ephesians was inspired to write five things that were true of the Gentiles:

1) They were uncircumcised.

2) They were without Christ.

3) They were strangers from the covenants of promise. 

4) They had no hope, and 

5) They were without God in the world (Eph.2:11-13).

One's condition could not be any more dreadful, and today, the same is true of over 95% of the current estimated 7.5 billion people on the earth. 

In contrast to the vast majority of people in the world, who are spiritually dead, including the majority of people who attended WCG, the saints at Ephesus were predestined to be called, called to be justified, justified to be glorified (Rom.8:29-30).

Of course, the Ephesian church was not established by Paul.  The text clearly indicates that the Ephesian church was founded by Apollos, who was born in Alexandria, and came to Ephesus, where he preached the gospel, only understanding the baptism of John the Baptist(Acts 18:24-25).

On a later visit to Ephesus, Paul asked the disciples, "Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed"(Acts.19:2). The Holy Spirit, which is the God of love, imparts the divine nature into the hearts of all converted Christians. The question that Paul posed to the disciples at Ephesus, needs to be answered by the vast majority of people who attended WCG.

The disciples replied, "We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Spirit." After Paul explained the difference of the baptism in Christ from the baptism of John, the twelve men were baptised again, and they received the Holy Spirit, which is the God of love. For John was inspired to write: "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loves is born of God, and knows God.  He that loves not knows not God, for God is love (1 John 4:7-8).

This passage of Scripture is so recondite and sublime, that without the Holy Spirit of love, it cannot be understood by the carnal mind.  For what does it mean to be "born of God ( John 1:12-13)?" 

I was going to answer that question, but unless one is converted, he would be as ignorant as Nicodemus, who didn't understand what it meant to be born again. Yet, he was a ruler in Israel, and asked Jesus, "How can these things be?"  And Jesus replied, "Are you a master of Israel, and know not these things(John 3: 10)?  That question needs to be answered by the cabal of hireling ministers that were in WCG, and are now fleecing docile, deluded people out of tithes and offerings.

They need to acknowledge their ignorance of the bible, and step down from being pretended masters in Israel.

 

The Last Great Day

 Sadly, the Feast of Tabernacles was never understood in WCG, or any of the other Holy days. That is not surprising, for the hireling ministry did not have the Holy Spirit, that leads to all truth.

They were and are ignorant of the fact that Passover is a mirror image of Atonement. Both festivals focus on the sacrifice Jesus. 

The seven days of unleavened bread is a mirror image of the Feast of Tabernacle. Both festivals are about the doctrine of sanctification.

The Last Great Day is a mirror image of Pentecost. Both festivals refer to the judgment of God, and to whom he will give his Holy Spirit. Hence Jesus' sermon on the Last Great Day of the Feast.  His message was and is thus: "If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink  He that believes on me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water"(John 7:37-38).

Later when John recorded the sermon, he added: "(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on should receive: for the Holy Spirit was not yet given..)"

Of course, the Holy Spirit was given, on the day of Pentecost, after the death, resurrection and glorification of Jesus, which brings us back to Atonement.

In my 22 years attending services with WCG, no one ever gave a sermon on The Last Great Day, or any other Feast day, on the profound meaning of the day.  I once heard Francis Bergin, who was never seen in the company of a woman, trying to explain the meaning of The Last Great Day, which he summarised by saying: "The last great day, is great for everyone."

Lord, have mercy?

A Great Sound of a Trumpet (Matt.24:31).

We had the Feast of Trumpets, the day of Atonement and we are now approaching the Feast of Tabernacles.  Sadly, these festivals were never understood in WCG, and the same ignorance is still being peddled by the hirelings in the divided groups that were formed since God spewed WCG out of his mouth.

On the feast of Trumpets, pompous, ignorant men who were ordained ministers as a result of licking the boots of Dr. Meredith, Hermon Hoeh, Raymond McNair or even Mr. Armstrong, used to turned up for services.  They were often met in the car park by a grovelling, sycophantic member, who was aspiring to be ordained a deacon.

The hireling seat at the front of the congregation had been reserved for him, and he walked in with a haughty deportment, as though he was Julius Caesar, who had just returned from an arduous battle, and was worthy of a Triumvirate.

After the preliminaries of song leading and meaningless sermonette, the hireling rose to his feet, and surveyed his captive, docile congregation, who paid his salary. He eventually proceeded to say, he was giving a sermon on the meaning of the day.

The meaning of Trumpets is explained by Jesus in Matthew 24,  On the mount of Olives, He was asked by his disciples, "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of your coming, and the end of the world?"(Matt.24:3).

The exposition of Matthew 24 is the meaning of the day of Trumpets.  But the hireling ministry, who were without the gift of the Holy Spirit, never understood the meaning of Trumpets, or of any of the other sublime mysteries of the Kingdom of God.

The collape of Britain and America

Mr Armstrong, in his seminal book, The United States and Britain in prophecy, outlined the causes that would lead to the collapse of Britain and America.  

Today, those causes and effects are very evident to anyone who is not spiritually blind. America and Britain have led the world in legalising homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion and elevating living together to the status of marriage.

The prophet Isiah announces the collapse of both countries thus: Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower..(Isaiah 28:1-2).

Both nations are so proud, they believe that they have been divinely ordained to tell the rest of the world how to live, when they have rejected the book that teaches people how to live godly lives.

Of course, the British are drunkards, including many of the men who once masqueraded as minister of Christ, but were ministers of Satan(2 Cor. 11:13-15). Every weekend, there are drunken fights outside pubs, football grounds, clubs and in many homes.  And thousands of men and women die every year of alcohol related diseases. The same is true in America, with minor exceptions.

Both countries are now bankrupt.  America has an estimated national debt of $30 trillion, and an annual borrowing requirement of over $700 billion.  Similarly, Britain has an estimated national debt of £2.7 trillion, and an annual borrowing requirement of around £200 billion. Most of the money is owed to China, Japan and Germany.  If this tragedy was scripted in Hollywood, most people would have fallen about laughing.

Furthermore, the leaders of both countries, and their so-called expert advisers, lack vision.  Yet, King Solomon was inspired to write: "where there is no vision, the people perish"(Pro. 29:18).  The question is, what is vision? The hirelings could have attempted to answer that question for the benefit of their docile, deluded congregations who are on the path to perish.

I could add much to this post, but there is no need.  For the hirelings are incapable of learning.  Plus Jesus said, "cast not your pearls before swine."

However, one would have to be spiritually blind or in denial of reality, not to see the collapse of Britain and America on the horizon.
